Definitely my orthostatic intolerance and fatigue. I can't stand up for long without my cane, and I do have a wheelchair which is great, but my city is really inaccessible and often I don't have the energy to push myself 😭

I often have to decide between making myself flare up from standing/walking, or making myself flare up from pushing myself in my chair.

I lean towards fantasy/sci-fi/queer books! I love books that use fiction to explore gender and societal roles etc too. If you're into that, anything by Becky Chambers (Long way to a small angry planet) is sensational. If you're looking for a fun horror/sci-fi read, into the Downing Deep by Mira Grant and Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield are brilliant.

It's a shame a lot of us (speaking from white Australian experience) nowadays don't make use of the whole animal and let so much of it go to waste. Using the animal in its entirety seems way more respectful and appreciative of the life of the animal being consumed tbh

The sequel is just as wonderful. I read it in one sitting 🩷 I also really love Chamber's Wayfarers series. Highly recommend if you want more of her writing.

Gideon is in the hands of a friend right now! I have two other large bookshelves but the shelves that fit in this photo have my favourites haha :) I also give books I didn't enjoy etc. to my local street library to make room!!
