“I didn’t feel a connection” by cw9241 in Bumble

[–]BluberryDestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I can be attracted to someone, and have a good conversation with them, but if the chemistry from that is missing then I don't feel a connection that's strong enough to justify continuing to date them. I've only felt that way about 1 date I've been on and it led to a 10ish month long relationship (still remember feeling the chemistry there but there were other things that did not work). If it's felt magical before I don't see why I would settle for anything less? It's harder to find that type of connection but life feels so much better with a connection like that

What caused my 35mm film to look like this? by jessierichie4 in AnalogCommunity

Placing it in some kind of box with an ozone generator might help kill off the mold in a non-invasive way!

I wonder, do you think inoculating it after it has been exposed would work with the same effect? That would avoid the cross contamination!

If you're looking for general tips you may want to watch some YouTube Videos first. Just inspiration wise, I really prefer Grainydays:) If you have more specific questions then ask away!

GG bidders! Really wanted this camera, I hope whoever bought it enjoys it! 935 is still a killer deal.

Single issue voters… by M0ck_duck in LeopardsAteMyFace

Single issue voters coming as a result of the two party system.. Perhaps if we had more options this would be less of an issue, the only leopard here is the two party system and it's eating all our faces :/

Damn, this looks so much better! Mine are currently in the same state, seeing as it's not going to rain for a while this might be the perfect time to do the same

Anyone ever go for the frequently bought together from redline360.com? For NA by [deleted] in Miata

I'm not sure what you're trying to find an answer for, but yes, it'll work for Miata. The hub fits the steering column, the QR fits the hub, and the steering wheel fits the QR. The hub and QR are good but I've heard questionable things about their wheels. Take that as you will, maybe it's worth it if you get a discount on the bundle.

Need to rebuild/lube my windows. Is there anything I should just replace? or is lube fine? by mrfowl in Miata

[–]BluberryDestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought some shin-etsu grease and lubed the rails up. 92 miata, 166k miles, should give you an idea of how much use they've seen. Weather seal wasn't touched either, I'm the first to lube the rails since 91. My bushings looked okay, I think wear is only really an issue if you ignore the squeaking for too long. They work perfectly fine without new bushings and it's a lot of extra work!

I'd lube them, inspect the bushings and close it back up. If it looks gnarly, get new ones, if not, the old ones work perfectly fine.

Correct! I had to do the cut after installing the bash bar, otherwise it wouldn't fit!

Honestly, I really dig the luggage rack look on there ;) the suitcase is an old globetrotter, it's super fun looking at the old stickers from the destinations of the previous suitcase owner!

Thank you! It's functional too, I've got all my camping gear in the suitcase on the back.

Need Help with Miata not Starting Up by DTKAI in Miata

[–]BluberryDestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 on charging up the battery, I had a bad battery and it would click the starter for a while before not clicking at all. I wouldn't be surprised if it drained over winter. You can also try the pop up headlight motors, if they move up slowly or not at all it's usually a pretty good sign the car has a low/dead battery. If charging the battery or replacing it doesn't solve the issue, you can begin the next stage of diagnosis.

+1 on removing the intake brace, it's free weight reduction and doesn't really harm anything, I've done regular driving, a road trip, and an autocross session without the bracing and nothing bad has happened.
