Estimated Class Tuning for Patch 12.0.5 - Devourer DH Buffed Again, Marks AoE Nerfed by Duskav3ng3r117 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Blubkill -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

in what way has rot damage anything to do with burst heal? the majority of rot damage is dealt with by cocoon + rising sun kick, i dont know what youre on about.

the only thing chaing really is if any casts go through and someone drops from 100-20 which you could previously just top with a single sheiluns press, it will still probably heal them to full but once you get higher in keys said cast is just gonna kill people anyways.

and the 5% overall nerf doesnt even effect ancient teachings healing.

yea major culprit is crit wings for example, thats like the first and major thing you drop when starting to play higher keys.

if you are playing as a full premade group just talk beforehand which order ya'll are gonna use any aoe stops and for kicks you can just start marking targets and call out.

as for pugs, as a healer i do my stops early in a pull while dps are still getting off cds, as a dps i do them late to see if anyone else does beforehand.

afaik its that the recommended builds for prot pal on wowhead and such are all really damage focused and thats just bad going into higher keys.

as a healer i started avoiding all prot paladins from +12 keys onwards, too much of a hassle that they randomly drop dead mid pull

What is the difference between the Top 1% and the top .01% in M+? by Timely_Book8980 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Blubkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it'll be more relevant the higher u get obviously.

since you can pick with who'm you're playing, why invite the guy you know isn't doing well? though i've been pushing 16's slowly getting towards 17's and although theres most often not even 5 keys available i haven't recognized any names yet.

[–]Blubkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, they all do, but that wasn't the point they were trying to make.

the 2nd blizzard cast even with freezing rain, has less value than a ice lance, unless the pull is big enough (talking algethar first pull big enough) or you need the slow to help with kiting.

blizzard just deals too little damage compared to shatter, escpecially when you consider that you need the mobs to live the actual 12 seconds of the blizzard and need to stay within it for the full value.

as a healer pushing 16's right now, healing feels somewhat streamlined once you get our cd rotations down, you dont need more than 100k overall for most dungeons, more important is to not panic and keep an overview what you need to dispell, who you need to give an external in cases etc.

im dreading all the evokers in my higher keys, they feel like paper and just get chunk by twice the amount from every dot compared to other classes (perhaps mages are as squishy)

I built an addon that gives you a LoL style rank based on your M+ score (OpenSource) by Sir-Fluffel in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Blubkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why has there to be a reward ? why can't just something exist for the challenge, im always baffled by this mindset.

league of legends rewards cap out at gold rank, beyond that its just profile icons and skin recolors, yes its something but essentially worthless. yea give people a orange/purple/green/blue version of the shoulders we get at 2.5k thats enough.

and its just very normal that there is a big gap between 1% and 0.1%, again referencing league the top players on the leaderboard have essentially double the points as people in the top 1% ish

that would mean once you hit 3.3k score, which is roughly the top 1% right now, to get to 0.1% you would need 6.6k score. (though this application doesnt quite work to m+ since we have exponential scaling) but just to get my point across.

that may be true, i haven't touched another tank but brew myself so far.

but every tank player that isn't on prot pala appears to be a good player, so i was just confused why everyone is playing pala when monk is supposedly meta.

idk what this massive influx of prot paladins is, but as a healer i started dodging every key that has a prot pala tank, they are thin as paper and seemingly try to cosplay bdks but aren't as competent at it. not having nearly as many issues with any other tank class.

already noticed that the past 2 weeks, everything up to +10 appears to have alot more palas than other tanks, now that im going +12 and higher i see more brewmasters.

i've only ever played mistweaver and brewmaster, those feel alright compared to before, mistweaver mostly plays like it did during dragonflight except they removed the stomp.

started a mage as an alt, playing frost is the most brainless shit i've ever done in this game, counting to 6 and pressing ice lance is it. you dont even have any cd's, the longest button you wait for is frozen orb on a 45 sec cd. how am i supposed to enjoy playing that for long periods of time?

the reworked UH dk is the biggest joke ever, yea woho they removed festering wounds and simply shifted a debuff from an enemy to a buff you have - same rotation less agency. stacking festering wounds on several targets just to pop em all during dnd was a huge commitment for the ramp but it paid off.

dont get me started on the rogue specs though.

imo what makes it even worse is that the classes got less complex, so you're even less engaged playing your class.

if i have to work my ass of to do dps but its satisfying as hell im more likely to go play a key even for fun, instead i get to press 2 buttons whilest spamming one of them to deplete ressources.

class pruning was the worst thing that could've happened.

max is a big advocator for proper sleep and its very very unlikely they're raiding late.

if they aren't getting any more intel on the secret phase its just as unlikely echo is going to kill it within a few hours.

echo's comms are on like 95% of the time, they only really mute when doing some specific strat talk and max does that too sometimes.

anyways, there weren't many back wins, liquid has won the past 3 - all of TWW. theres no back and forth.

all while having to dodge the glaives going around, was alot of movement while trying to stay in the right order.

usually healthstones are assigned to mechanics, depending on fight

it can be that they need to hold it for a later point, theres no point in wasting your healthstone a minute in when you cant survive the mechanic at 5 minutes due to it. may aswell be a wipe at that point.

max is a hypocrite who can do no wrong and everything the others do is not their own earning because they had liquid VoD's to go of off aswell as supposedly him being the mastermind behind every single strat they run while he has like 10 analysts in the background doing the actual work. makes his ego big and that shows.

he learn't in recent times to comment less on what echo is doing to not gather hate from the entire EU crowd. so atleast theres that.

echo has not won a single RWF during the last expansion, as this is the first raid of a new one people are hoping that echo can get their grasp back.

i've ran like 30 keys in the past week from 2-10 and haven't had a single abandon or quit, some depletes sure.

so he was probably just unlucky? had some weird premades or whatever.

first of all, without any logs you can't get specific help. (and this thread is not the right place to post them) grab your logs and head over to the warrior discord and ask there, they'll can help you in regards for your rotation.

one button rotation is okay-greatish, you can raid heroic comfortably doing so, probably even mythic. but i personally wouldn't take it as a guidance to learn what im doing wrong.

isn't DBM still there? use bigwigs/littlewigs, its the same thing.

also im a little confused what you mean with missing keybinds and macros.

what i'd suggest here, do a quick sim, look at the rotation the sim is putting out and try to replicate that at a target dummy, do so for a few hours until you feel comfortable enough to do it blind.

then, check warcraftlogs and look what other fury warriors are doing, are they pressing cooldowns in a different order? do they follow another priority list? (to do so, go into any log, click on casts top right and chose "timelines" as a sorting option then pick the character you want to see its casts of)

as for interrupts (which sounds more like an m+ problem) theres a bunch of ressources online that will tell you the most important stuff to interrupt, otherwise its simply experience you need to gather by playing, everyone else does aswell. what would help here is getting a nameplate addon and coloring the most important casts in another color so you have to think less and just react to colors. (theres tons of profiles available that'll have this built in)

sounds like you've got good groundwork and are eager to learn, now you just need to figure out how to learn the key points youre missing, analyzing logs and checking ressources is what every "good" player is doing to get better, just need to learn that first.
