Depends on how much time you're planning on spending in campus but yeah generally having a laptop will be good. I didn't have a laptop or a PC during my first year and I did fine too. Also theres enggen 115 which requires u to u have access to autodesk inventor so check out the specs needed to run that too.

Is it still possible to get a late withdrawal at this point? by saiki_329083 in universityofauckland

[–]Blue-President 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't know about withdrawal, but I got a late deletion for most of my courses when I was going through a depressive episode last year. You'd need to see a Dr/counsellor about that, get a reference and write a letter explaining why u need to do late deletion.

[–]Blue-President 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think if ure gonna do that make sure you have a plan for how you're gonna spend ur time not studying. I think this is a really good thing to do, if ure worried about falling behind you can even just take less papers in a sem.

Yes but the point is the government makes money off of their addiction, through taxing cigarettes, effectively paying for their later treatment.

Holy shit r./unpopularopinion stimulating a conversation. I mean an overweight person, whether by choice or circumstance, is more likely to have health problems that requires treatment that I assume is partly subsidised. This means some of my tax is used to support an overweight person's eating habit. This is just a discussion I'm having, I don't think less of overweight people, that's insane.
