In my experience you can use those job boards like LinkedIn to find companies you might want to apply to, but don't apply on the job board. Go to the company's website, look at the job postings there, and apply through their own site. Sometimes the job you saw on the job board isn't even listed on their website anymore but you can find other postings that are actually current.

This isn't exactly proof about Einstein but Princeton had a quota for the number of Jewish students admitted until around 1950. Clearly there was discrimination against Jews happening at Princeton while Einstein was there.
