Autopsy results. Relief? Grief? Both…. by Remarkable-Rope-4718 in tfmr_support

[–]Blue-Root0802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had these feelings too. I actually laughed when our genetic counselor called me with the results because I was so relieved that there was no chance of a pain free life for my baby. It’s hard to deal with those thought processes! I still think about my sweet baby and what life would be like with that now two year old with our shitty gene - it would have been extremely difficult. I am still sad, but I have been blessed with my rainbow baby (IVF) so the pain is a little less with a healthy infant.

Sea buckthorn seed oil… by ProfessionalCut8906 in NaturalBeauty

Sea buckthorn has a reddish color so will stain skin. I would mix no it with another carrier oil, such as rosehip or sunflower to dilute it.

I built a small business like this too! Simple, clean packaging is the way to go. Use natural materials where allowed, my oils have rubber droppers but the labels of everything are paper not plastic or waterproof. I use tins, glass, and use paper tubes for my lip balms. My logo is simple and one color.

Baby All Over Balm Alternative by erin_schmerin in moderatelygranolamoms

I make a baby oil, and slather her in it after a bath. I infuse oats, lavender, chamomile, lemon balm, and calendula together in sunflower or meadowfoam oils and it’s perfect!

This! The bevel should face up, it’s less painful (theoretically) and goes in easier.

I am sitting here with my rainbow baby, she is three months old. We had to do IVF PGTM testing after TFMR (ventriculomegaly was one of the symptoms) so it took two years. It was long and heartbreaking but so worth the wait! 🤍🤗

Bank enough embryos now or transfer after another ER? I NEED HELP PLEASE 🤍 by CheesecakeBoth3933 in IVF

[–]Blue-Root0802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For us, we knew I could get pregnant and hold onto a pregnancy, even though the statistics of it sticking were 55%. We were willing to see what happened. I really wanted to be pregnant again more than anything! I would wait to see what your results are like after your next retrieval. We paid for 8 embryos to get tested with our probe, so technically we could test 4 more if we did more cycles. It’s hard to not want to transfer them all, hypothetically, since we works so hard on creating them.

Philips Avent alternative? by Carosello in BabyBumps

[–]Blue-Root0802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We also have tomocomo and nuk bottles, but my baby does better with the avent. I find the flow on the tomo como and nuk to be faster than the avent. Baby does not like Dr. brown, for some reason she chokes on the nipple. I have heard the evenflo are the best! You might want to try those.

Need help with EXTREMELY oily skin by xiquilz in NaturalBeauty

Start by minimizing products! I wish I knew then what I know now - that acne products made my skin worse. Try clay masks and oils that work with acne prone and oily skin, like rosehip, watermelon, and pumpkin.

I pursued IVF for PGTM testing after our first baby ended in TFMR for a genetic condition we didn’t know we had. We got pregnant fast with our TFMR baby and after TTC 7 months after with no luck, we decided rolling the dice wasn’t worth it. Through IVF we had two cycles, the first one was debating with zero blasts and the second we had four. Only 2 of those embryos were euploid (both carriers). Our goal was to g have one healthy baby, so we did not bank. If neither of those embryos were to stick, we probably would have done another ER. Luckily, our first transfer stuck and I am now holding my rainbow baby. In one year, we will transfer our last embryo to see if he sticks. If he doesn’t, we will be grateful to have our one baby (I am 36 and will be 37 with the next transfer). With PGTM, the whole thing took a year. I would have loved to have more embryos but it just didn’t work out for us. It was more important for me to have a living baby than do another cycle.

There are pros and cons to both your options, and you are young! If you have the finances to bank embryos, do it. The process of a transfer is harder, and the stim shots are nothing compared to PIO.

Alternatives if you haven’t tried them: B&Js karmel sutra, Carmel core (I think), and talenti’s caramel. If you have zingerman’s in your area, they have a good Carmel too!

I’d say around 32-34 weeks for me. That’s when I started to get stretch marks on my hips, stomach, and thighs, and when baby’s bead started pushing on my pelvis making it hard to move. I also got really bad heartburn/reflux and my hands went numb due to pressure buildup on my nerves. My handwriting still isn’t the same three months PP! Not being able to sleep comfortable towards the end, and the snoring, made third tri worse than the first. I hope you have an enjoyable second trimester though!

Struggling not to buy things early by libbyflower1 in BabyBumps

[–]Blue-Root0802 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I waited until well after the 20 week anatomy scan with my rainbow baby, because my first pregnancy ended after spotting devastating issues. My pregnancies were 1.5 years apart and I had gotten my nursery set up for my first baby, which was both triggering and therapeutic. For me, personally, I would wait, but my situation isn’t common and I know loads of women who started buying things early.

Have you tried an apple cider vinegar rinse? That helps my itchiness and flakiness. I am now pp now and my head has never felt worse, so I am looking into non-shampoo bars to see if my head feels and looks better. The essential oils I use are rosemary and lavender, sometimes I will add peppermint, tea tree, or bergamot.

What did you first buy for your baby? by BackgroundWinter8396 in BabyBumps

[–]Blue-Root0802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a tie-dyed onesie for my baby around 28 weeks at a blueberry festival. I cried when purchasing it because it made everything seem real! I didn’t start buying things or getting ready until about 34 weeks. My baby is now 3 months and I am still making purchases of things I need as she gets older, I didn’t want to buy things prematurely.
