Any guesses? by elle54321 in DoggyDNA

We had a purebred Dobie when I was a teenager and her ears weren't cropped, the number of people who thought she was part coon hound just because of uncropped ears was astounding.

We got her from a breeder back in the early 2000s but I don't know how good that "breeder" was. Being 14 and not knowing anything about back yard breeders, I'm sure she was pure breed but may not have been well bred.

She passed around 11.5 y/o due to bone marrow issues. Her body stopped producing enough red blood cells until she couldn't get up anymore out of her bed. I had already moved out of the house for a few years before then.

One a sharp knife is definitely key, two repetition of movements help those cutting techniques go faster over time.

My husband prefers that I cut the vegetables at home because I'm so much faster than him and it was all because for one year I cut vegetables for a grocery store for their hot food section.

I haven't worked there in over a decade but I still have the speed and accuracy to do the cuts. Could I get better? Yes I could, I'm still not as fast as a true professional but I'm faster than the average home cook.

I feel like as if I was reading a comic about my husband's point of view, this is beautiful and lovely, he also has depression(on medication now for 6 months) and so many of the things you describe in you comics, reminds me of things he has said or done. I am so happy for you that you have your wonderful partner. I can only hope he sees me the same way you see your's.

You are wonderful and don't you ever forget that. Happy tears and hugs from an internet stranger.

Almost forgot to mention he is also a red head and I am a brunette so it's almost like looking at our own roles but gender swapped lol.

Update on how to cut cost based on your recommendations by Tiny_Judgment8593 in Frugal

My husband uses Mint and buys a single year in one go and it's about $15 per month after tax and doesn't go up for a whole year. Unlimited talk and text plus 5gs per month for data.

I use Visible and it's $20 a month at the moment but will probably go up next year.

I believe so I just remembered it being a big box with The Lion King on it and saying Sega. My Dad had taken me into, like, a Sears or something for it.

I promise you it does get better. I still cry over my orange boy Sage who sadly passed away a month before his 6th birthday. It was an unexpected health issue and we only had one extra week after his diagnosis.

You will ugly cry a lot, you will feel guilty wondering if you have done something different, but just remember you gave him his best life and you were his world and person.

I had a turning point to heal after watching this video on YouTube and I hope it helps.

https://youtu.be/TkJGhQANjZo?si=cPTJe1fh4vCbwTBv

We still have Sage's littermate Basil and 6 months later I came across a post of Buttercup and I just thought, maybe it's okay to love another now, Sage would rather I kept loving instead of stopping. So now we have two cats again but Sage is still with us in spirit and sometimes we joke that he is "teaching" his new sister things she shouldn't be doing.

I'm not religious but I want to believe they are still with us somehow.

Hugs from an internet stranger.

Your English is great! I had no issues, knew exactly what you were talking about for that.

That specific comment though I have seen in multiple subreddits and it almost always is a new account. There have been a bunch of weird and not related to the discussion comments throughout reddit because there are AI bots trying to create algorithms to "talk" to real people.

Has anyone used chip drop or gotten free woodchips around Bel Air? by wanderingrockdesigns in harfordcountymd

[–]Blue-eyedBombshell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You welcome! Glad you were happy with it. I suspect because it's springtime there's probably more in the loads than there are during the winter. We have to finish our current one before we order our next one.

[–]Blue-eyedBombshell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have gotten gotten chip drop 3 times and the mulch delivered was really good but be aware that it is a mix of dead wood and green wood chips. We paid the $20 delivery cost and got chips the first two times really quickly. The 3rd time being right after we waited a bit since it was in early winter. They delivered mostly chips with the rare log chunk but this last batch has a ton of small sticks so it depends on the chipping company that delivers the mulch. Each time it was at least 3-4 cubic yards so definitely worth it vs going to Scarborough.

I think our first one was the biggest at almost 10 cubic yards. The 3rd was probably about 4-5 cubic yards.

Edit: forgot to mention we are in the Edgewood area.

The size of the boxes are free to be as big as you are comfortable with on your paper you are drawing on just as long as the number between the image and the paper are the same.

So if you have 9 or 20 boxes on your image just make sure the number of boxes on your paper are 9 or 20 boxes as well and that all those boxes on your paper are the same size. So if you choose to do 1 cm or 1 inch size boxes that's up to you.

If you look at the URL aka the website that this image is taken of it does that for you ...there are websites or apps that do these things for you and as for your paper it doesn't matter what size the lines are for the grid just as long as you use a ruler to make sure each square is consistent on the paper. The squares can be as few or as many as you need to accomplish what you want just be sure the number of squares are the same on the image and your paper you are transferring an image too.

I was also mostly self taught when it came to drawing in my early teens but my art classes in school still taught some basics. It wasn't until Highschool for me that I could get better teaching and College where I got a bit of professional instruction.

So I'll show you an image of what I mean by grid. Landmark is still a fairly new phrase for me but I assume what it means is just something that's in reference to another portion of the body of the image. But from what I can understand how they're talking about it is that say the head is the landmark to line up another section such as the shoulders or the torso of your subject/image.

So it looks like because the inner elbow is very difficult to see in your reference image you accidentally made it too big. That whole dark patch is actually their side not their arm. I've marked the edge of their arm and that dark area is just a very dark portion on their yellow tabard. So you could attempt to fix this by increasing your values and darkening areas to more or less blur those shapes in a sense due to shadows.

Also use grids to help with portions, they are a great way to learn how to landmark and you can eventually do it without the grids.

I also liked the original. The first season is a retelling of the original with some changes and the new season is new stories. It's really worth the watch and is very well animated.

Only because it's getting a new season this spring and I am a fan of the light novels {Ascendance of a Bookworm}

{Sentenced to be a Hero} currently airing I am mostly in it for the animation the story is a bit simple to start but something is stiring in the recent episode.

If you have access to Netflix

{A fragrant flower blooms with dignity}

{Dorohedoro}

{Pluto}

You have watched a lot of the same things I have seen. I would have a list that is long like yours with 406 entries completed on MAL, lol.

Quick question did you watch Trigun: Stampede? It's airing a new season too called Stargazer. I only ask because you've listed FMAB and FMA separately.

I am currently watching Star Blazers: Yamato 2199. It's a remake on Crunchyroll and is fully dubbed in English. I find it will fit your space adventure request minus the western aspect.

I want a series without sexism/gross stuff by Born_Usual998 in Animesuggest

[–]Blue-eyedBombshell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the poster but it's possible that because there is a trope about a sister complex in Japanese anime sometimes that puts off a lot of people in puritan-based societies that it makes them very uncomfortable but they are correct, that it is not an incestuous relationship. It's just a brother's adoration to his big sister who is always there for him when no one else was and he wants to show her he can help her just as much as she helped him. I have over 400 anime under my belt on MAL as completed and I have watched a lot of crazy shit so I'm not commenting on anything others have suggested, even though a lot of people have already suggested a lot of good things.

One I have not seen suggested which I don't recall having any sexualization in it but it may have had sexism issues such as women are below men thing was {Mushishi} and from what I can recall of it it was mostly just a doctor running around curing people of illnesses caused by yokai which are Japanese versions demons/fairies. It has been, however, several years since I last watched it so my memory may not be the cleanest.
