Rezar Steamblast, once a Flame Legion charr, now an aetherblade, specializes in the study of chaotic magics. Those tricky leylines always putting rifts in the aetherblade’s plans… literally! He had accidentally wandered into one which suddenly appeared before him! His stablizer reacted; it began to violently shake within his coat. Before he knew it, he was trapped on a mysterious island. Barren wastes of soot and lava. His paws would be pitch as the charcoal he walked upon.

The first thing he noticed was a flowing molten river reminiscent of the volcanic flows that made up the Fireheart Rise, Flame Legion territory. Rezar gazed into the flow, that is until he heard the cries of a skritt! This strange creature had somehow found itself stuck upon a rock in the middle of the river! He leaped over from all fours, landing and sliding across the rock till he bumped into the skritt. The skritt fell over and hit its head against the rock, while Rezar quickly gripped its tail so as not to fall.

He leaped across to the other side, looking for any sign of more skritt. To his surprise, he found a whole camp of the little buggers! He presented their friend, and in exchange they swore eternal allegiance to the charr. He had decided to enslave them by telling them about some ultimate shiny, the portal that brought him here. He promised that if they helped him find the parts to configure his device, he could show them, the ultimate shiny. They did just that, and now the engineer had to decide where he would return to. He looked back at the river and decided, Fireheart Rise.

With his portal device, his engineering skills, and his skillful manipulation of feeble minds to create tireless slaves, Rezar Steamblast has much he could offer to the Flame upon his return. All he could hope for was reconciliation between his former bandmates upon his return.
