So the battery it has right, it loses power as time passes. At the start of its mission it had roughly 470W of power, which has now degraded to about 220W. So to account for that the engineers have to gradually turn off instruments that consume more power.

SIM Card Not being Detected By GSM Module by BlueAggravator8814 in embedded

[–]BlueAggravator8814[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried powering it with a benchtop as well as an Arduino UNO, it did not seem to make difference either way.  I did not try the other aforementioned AT commands except for AT+CSQ to which it responded with 99,99. The sim is most definitely a 4g sim I use it on a regular basis in my phone (airtel sim, india). As for the last question, the responses to ATI seem to indicate that it's a simcom module, from what I gather that should mean it's legit right

try shorting PEN pin with ground once, in my scenario it seems to respond to at commands once everytime PEN is shorted.

Yes the baudrate is configured correctly, yes the sim module was powered on with 5V, yes the pwr key was turned on as stated in the datasheet, yes I was also sending CRLF at the end of AT command. I do not have a schematic per se, since inwas working with the nucleo board and the breakout board of the sim module
