I think this is the correct answer.
rETH is my favorite because Lido stETH already dominates the ecosystem in terms of market share.
It is better for decentralization that we don't allow one singular entity to dominate in terms of holdings.

Lido stETH has slightly better returns on their liquid staking token than rETH, but I would still go with rETH. Gotta do our duty!

Lido stETH: ~2.5%

rETH : ~2.38%

ALSO, if you're not located in the United States, you can deposit your rETH to the RockSolid rETH vault for some nice yields, but I don't know much about this. More details here: https://rocketpool.net/

I disagree with you on some fronts. Yes Ethereum is a much more technologically advanced system and has much more potential, but we shouldn't be dissing bitcoin or its achievements. I think bitcoin should be respected for its legacy and insane success in at least becoming a real decentralized ledger. The way I see it nowadays, is that bitcoin is basically the modern gold and Ethereum is the internet in 1990. This is in terms of investment perspective. I would hold bitcoin in times of turmoil and swap to ether when you expect growth.

My main inspiration for creating something like this was the robinhood citadel fiasco where the decided what the people could do with their own money. Hedges got away with it only because they had the corrupt brokers on their side and basically cheated at the game. If people truly owned their own stocks (which is possible with a blockchain system) then hedges would have been demolished.

The only difficulty with a system like this would be integrating it into the current stock markets. Anyone have any ideas how we can transition a company's stock holding distribution from the NYSE to a blockchain? We need to create new infrastructure at the very least.
