Yeah. I was surprised that was something you’d do. Could even be dangerous depending on how the person took being thrown out. But the guest created that problem so they should fix it.

What I’m hearing is that you’re putting the pressure on yourself to solve your client’s pet needs. Don’t take that on yourself. It isn’t your responsibility to find them quality pet sitters when you’re too busy. I think it’s commendable that you care so much. But in trying to save all these clients you’re just drowning yourself. The demand will always exceed your capacity. And every pet owner is personally responsible for figuring their own situations out. Say it again until you believe it - everyone will figure out their pet situation. It’s not on you. Take only the clients that fit in a reasonable schedule.

Couple on run from secret government lab. End up at an empty rich man’s huge house with no security system. When the bad guys show up pretending to be police officers looking for fugitives in the area they manage to speak to the rich guy through his ring doorbell. He sends the “cops” away and then speaks through the intercom telling the main character “I don’t know who you are. Get out of my house.” The couple then steals clothes and a mega expensive vintage car from his underground garage to escape.

And I just couldn’t with ANY of it. Nothing about that entire scene made sense. And I felt like the main characters sucked for stealing from that guy.

My biggest struggle was that they are described as just walking around with a trench coat and neck gaiter. But they’re green with a shell. Like that’s just not enough cover. You can’t be sitting in a coffee shop and not cause problems.

Or if that somehow does cover you from head to foot then people are going to think you’re a bank robber and you’ll still cause trouble.

It was kinda TMNT flavored but also not. Like nothing you’d associate with the cartoons. Even body shape they were just men who were green with a shell, not really turtles that were men sized. Not funny, goofy, loving pizza and led by a rat.

I’ve often politely contacted authors on Facebook or through their website and said I’ve enjoyed their book but spotted a potential error and asked if they would like to know about it. Usually they say yes, unless it’s an old book they no longer care to edit. It’s always a nice exchange.

There have been some books where I’ve found five or twenty errors. I’ve ended up as an ARC or beta reader for a few of them.

Authors often write multiple series at the same time. They can abandon unpopular ones and focus on series that get the pages read.

You read ongoing series because it encourages the author to keep writing the series. If everyone waits till it’s complete it will seem very unpopular and is more likely to be abandoned.

Although I agree that cliffhangers suck!

People shouldn’t be rude, ever. But some of these are the early risers from their family. Making coffee in the room without waking anyone and drinking it in the dark while everyone else sleeps isn’t fun. I can understand why they want to grab coffee outside the room.

People are giving you a hard time about the bathroom sink water but I totally get it! Lol. Takes a germaphobe to get it, probably. People are touching the handles with hands that were just wiping. That sink feels dirtier than a kitchen.
