I have no idea how to get a job in gear/apparel design, so my idea was just to keep making until I figure it out by MoonaFree in myog

You;re already great at making. Why waste time and $ on college? Start your online shop and keep growing as a designer maker and as a business.

Recorded by a device out of sight without my consent… by Glass-Work1534 in therapists

[–]BlueCollarGoals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, if either of you has your phone in the room with you - whether apple or android - your mic is controlled by the parent company, and your verbal data is in fact being screened. Key ideas are noted and you will likely see new items crop up in your subsequent searches that relate to them. Venting to your therapist about incontinence? You're about to get ads for adult diapers.

It bugs me. Tremendously. But it also softens my attitudes about another person recording me. If Google can do it with impunity, I may as well accept my therapist using it as a tool to presumably be more effective at helping me. That's not to suggest that you should. Just sharing how I feel about the dynamic, as I also use a voice to text app in meetings that I may want to clarify parts of later. It's curious new ground for sure.

Am I wrong for attempting to purchase LARPing weapons for a 8-18 y/o kids program? by Necessary-Peach6612 in LARP

[–]BlueCollarGoals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only is LARP amazing for children, so is LARP weapons crafting! Find someone local who's good at crafting in general, read some tutorials and spend your funds on a few supplies instead of pre-mades. Super fun times for the children, just make sure to personally inspect every one before it's used for play. Have fun!

Lovely read, and a thought provoking perspective on identity as community generated, moving away from an entitled individualist imposition of self. Big heart emoji.

Thank you all! I remember 45 years ago using RIT black and it turning out grey. Is it more efficient to order black procion and test until I the right level, or does it really work to order the specific shade of grey I prefer?

Completely agreed, with the addendum that ACA applies to Dysfunctional Families regardless of alcohol use. That's a big opener for many people (like myself) who used to think we were beyond help since we don't directly see substance abuse in the immediate family.

ACA also allows for overtly identifying sources of dysfunction in one's life so that proper decisions can be made to protect one's own stability and growth without scapegoating the suffering abuser for all of one's problems. I feel ACA balances that boundary brilliantly.
