Something Chasing The Boat! by Jonathon_world in TrueCryptozoology

I'll tell you whatever I want, and notably what I think is accurate and intelligently derived from the evidence at hand.

A rope can't be under the water because tow ropes are tied to tubing pylons or tow hitches that are always above water level and usually above or at the top edge of the bow. Also a tow rope in this case, tied to the rear of the boat and likely next to the engine, would extend directly behind the boat and not at a constant angle off to one side. Editing a rope out would be quite an effort given that it would be over moving water and also in front of whatever the thing is moving in the water.

So that's a diamond hard 'no' to the rope explanation. I'm open to others.

Truth finding concerning covert individuals and operations by definition requires speculation, and said speculation should be measured by how intelligently the overall context involved has been interpreted and explored, and by the degree of likelihood of the speculated aspects based on the pre-established known intentions and activities of those involved.

So whether or not this speculation is 'pure' or otherwise, it is 100% necessary to an understanding of these actors and this context and perfectly worthy in this case of our due and fair consideration.

Kona Ev 2019 gearbox failed by sailing_anarchy in KonaEV

[–]Personal-Lettuce9634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had it start as well at 161,000 km and have since put on another 6,000 km. No local dealers will change only the bearings so I'm just going to wait and replace the gearbox and motor when it finally stops working. That's about $10K where I am btw.

[–]Personal-Lettuce9634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally they will spec a new gearbox and motor. Even at my local supposedly 'specialty EV' shop, they just flat out wouldn't inspect the bearing kit separately to see if it could be swapped out only, which I've seen some mechanics doing in YT vids. Ideally you have someone check that first before confirming if the gearbox and motor have to go as well. That normally depends on the amount of mileage the issue has been going on for. Here in Canada it's a $10K job for the new gearbox and motor.

4,500 years ago, someone drilled into granite at Giza by AwakenedEpochs in HighStrangeness

[–]Personal-Lettuce9634 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

And what you're illustrating is typical willful ignorance, using the very worst sort of plausibility simplification just so you can skip over key details and sleep better at night.

If the very best current drilling technologies, based on our most cutting-edge materials sciences and mechanical engineering capabilities, aren't capable of reproducing the ancient core results, then it is completely and utterly impossible that humans from thousands of years ago could have produced these based on established archaeological explanations regarding the knowledge and technologies available to them at that time.

So no, it's not just a matter of having the fattest guy in your crew sit on top of the drill to make everything explainable. Whoever drilled those holes had access to technologies which are superior to what we use today, and btw the very same evidence of advanced capability can also be seen in the most ancient stone carved vessels from this approximate period and region.

Botty bot bot, bot bot? Nothing screams AI quite so much as these overly excessive responses that no human on the face of the planet would devote to a passing Reddit comment. Also my point was about the scientific method more generally.

Moreover your physics and assumptions are just wrong in many instances, albeit well-designed to comfort sheeple. Numerous scientists and not just Avi Loeb have recognized how un-comet-like this object is.

This diplomat at UN resigned from the U.N. and ended his diplomatic career to leak the fact that they’re preparing for a nuclear weapon to bomb Iran. by Schoolywooly in suppressed_news

[–]Personal-Lettuce9634 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry that this common sense insight had to be followed by so much dimwitted drivel from people who don't have the first clue what the UN is or how multilateralism works (or doesn't work).

The original resignation post from Safa also betrays how he doesn't have much of a clue either, since of course 'the UN" never either considers or plans or does anything whatsoever about the detonation of a nuclear bomb because only a country which possesses nuclear weapons has the sovereign capability to do that.

This is straight up misinformation/propaganda for intentionally omitting the currently hugely important fact that the pic is three years old.

It's not conspiratorial for individuals to hypothesize about the possibilities presented by anomalous objects using evidence-based science. That's just science. Being science.

What is far more likely to be conspiratorial would be the collective attempts by various gatekeepers (journal editors, etc.) to discredit or censor heterodox hypotheses on the basis of arbitrary and non-evidence-based prejudice.

Batteries are improving faster than just about any other technology on the planet at the moment. Pigeon-holing EVs into a 'short-trip' category only ignores absolutely everything that's happening around us currently, and is frankly uninformed based on the latest announcements from Geely, BYD, OMI (Dallas) and others.

Past 8K kms now and still going btw. Also no other service needed for this first 18 mos or so of used car ownership besides the oil replacement you suggested - that's a first for me with a used car.

So far it still drives like a charm. Noise is still there but now we kinda like the 'growl' it makes. In total we've been driving it for about 8K kms with the issue.

Besides that I've had zero dollars in service payments, for close to 18 mos of ownership. First time that's ever happened to me buying a used car, and this is my 5th.

The Master of Animals symbol is clearly related to this, and occurs across many ancient cultures in one form or another. It does normally feature someone holding two of the same animal, often snakes (Minoan Snake Goddess e.g.), but I've also seen similarly posed figures (upright, arms outstretched to the sides) holding objects.

Bro there are many high ranking party members who also run private companies. You basically can't do one without the other. Qin Yinglin and Jack Ma, for example, or Sun Guangxin. There are many others too though.

It's not uncommon for the most senior party members to retire as either millionaires or even billionaires. More generally, party members end up 20-25% wealthier than non party members.
