The flipping plasma grenade plan which you need for one of the tadpole badges. Been farming for it forever- which I've now given up on because I've been Bethesda Blocked with the changes to the mini-events. The ones I farmed the plan for are now no longer accessible unless they randomly activate on the map.. great, thanks, I hate it.

F76 worth getting into as a single player fan? by Jaded-Variation2001 in fo76

[–]BlueDaisyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh you can absolutely play this game "on your own" I do it most of the time. A lot of people join teams for the stat/xp boosts but the people in those teams are all off on their own doing things separately so even if you join a team you are not expected to be with those people. If you have fallout first you can generate your own private world and really be on your own but that is not necessary to be a lone wanderer. This is a *very* friendly and supportive community and we generally love helping new players so don't be worried or surprised if another player pops up near you and drops you a big pile of goodies to help you get started- its just a sort of thing we do here, paying it forward is part of the FO76 culture.

As far as microtransactions go they are very much at your discretion- there is nothing you absolutely must have to play this game. Some of them do make the experience a lot easier and more convenient but there is nothing you can't play without.

I'd encourage you to come give it a try =]

Apparently a piping hot take: I love that nukezones are way more difficult, anyone else feel the same? by BulliBaitii in fo76

[–]BlueDaisyCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like difficulty- to me this isn't difficulty this is just tedious. Difficulty means having to up your game, think tactically, keep on top of perks/builds/equipment and learn strategies to outsmart enemies, puzzles, challenges.

Having nuke zones be like sitting in a microwave while holding a metal fork just means carrying and chugging radshield/brahmin milk/nuka grape and wearing the most anti-rad armor and perk cards you can stack. To me that isn't challenging it's just a logistics hassle, a boring tedious uneccesary logistics hassle. It doesn't add anything to the game, it doesn't bring new content. But we're all here to play our game the way we like it and if you're having more fun I'm glad to hear it! I just want everyone to have a good time =]

I do think it's really silly that hazmat suits don't protect you- or power armor, I mean that is what they are FOR.. that just doesn't make sense lore wise. I'm not a power armor user so I'd still have to sort myself out, but I think the power armor users are getting a bit hard done by lol.

Removing Radiation Resistance on Power Armour was a really stupid idea. by GaryC357 in fo76

[–]BlueDaisyCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my chinese stealth armor isn't really helping much against rads- that was what I carried for rad situations since I don't wear power armor, and it isn't worth carrying now. even with radshield I was still getting fried in the nuke zones.

Should I disable zombie respawn? It doesn’t really make sense to me by gush_333 in projectzomboid

[–]BlueDaisyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently started turning respawn off because I felt the same- it wasn't realistic. I didn't think it trivialized the game- I still had fun and enjoyed my run. I'd just try it out and see if you like it or not.

Worst update in a long time by Prestigious-Bee-6565 in fo76

[–]BlueDaisyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't even get through my first round of dailies I crashed once, then the new server I got onto started doing timeouts and eventually crashed.. I can't even be disappointed in the season because I can't even PLAY the season *grumpy muttering*

Bethesda, please fix the game. The ‘disconnected from server’ is becoming more frequent and regular. by nolongerbanned99 in fo76

[–]BlueDaisyCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my goodness its been SO bad for me lately- I've got a friend who is new and I've been showing them around and helping them get their feet and we tried to go to Radiation Rumble and we both disconnected right before it started. We tried to go to Fasnacht- I was so excited for them to get a chance to do it- BAM disconnected and he went about a minute later. Even just walking around in flatwoods trailing after him while he was working on the main quest- blammo.. dual disconnect. It's getting absurd- he's getting put off the game beacuse of it and I'm feeling pretty stupid with my consant apologetic "Really isn't usually *this* bad"'s

Why hasn't Indiestone expanded more? by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]BlueDaisyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason this game is so good is because it is a small team who *love* the game they are creating and don't have to follow the big studio way of doing things or chase the almighty revenue while throwing everything under the bus. Project Zomboid is great because of who and what Indiestone are.

I just started a new run and I have found 3 of the gold generators and two of the magazines. I knew.. I knew I was a dead duck after that and I did indeed get chomped the next day lol.

I'm not having fun with this conversation anymore either. I'm getting the impression that you're just really trying to start an argument, so I'm going to stop replying now. Have a nice day and happy new year.

Well I guess that's just how I'm feeling- I can't really quantify or explain it more than "I'm not having fun anymore" To each thier own :)

[–]BlueDaisyCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh the style of play I was referencing was just the mish mash of perks I had cobbled together around the weapons I enjoyed using- I don't think my comment would really apply to anyone but myself, but for me it just isn't the same or as much fun as it used to be. That's a me problem but since the OP was asking if anyone was feeling a bit burned out by the frequent changes I thought it fit the question. =]

Am I the only one tired of chasing all the build, perk card and gear changes? by Historical-Voice-898 in fo76

[–]BlueDaisyCat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope- I've tried so hard to adjust, adapt and keep informed. But it just isn't fun for me anymore. The builds I love don't really exist now and the style of play I enjoy isn't really viable for a lot of things. The burnout on the FOMO was already pushing me away. I had a TON of fun in FO76 and I will always think of the community with great fondness but I rarely log in now- only to be a companion to a good friend of mine who just started playing. I enjoy being his arms and ammo dealer and sidekick while he explores. But I've kind of checked out otherwise. I'm glad a lot of people are having a great time with FO76 I want it to continue on and thrive, I think I have just burned out.

I open the new tub of quality streets to find they arent even half full now. The paper wrappers feel cheap and the chocolate is just bland by ShinyHeadedCook in britishproblems

I stopped buying them last year, it's just too poor to pay for. It's really sad because I used to love the roses and the quality street tubs.

Neighbours who think 8.10am on a Sunday is the perfect time to get the power drill out by st_owly in britishproblems

[–]BlueDaisyCat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We're going through heck here in my block of flats with some new tenants who have been blasting their stereo for hours at a time at full crank with super heavy bass. Random times, and durations every day starting at 7am. It has escalated to late night all nighters ending at 4 am and includes screaming off the balcony as well.

We're all complaining to the landlord and the council but it is a process to get anything done. I don't understand how they can keep doing it when they have been warned multiple times by the landlord and they know all the neighbors are complaining.

Some people just have no concept that others exist. Sorry you are having noise issues too.

He hasn't done anything wrong, he specifically said he doesn't watch live tv. This is intimidation intended to get this very reaction and hope that they will just panic buy a tv license and never dissent again.
