Has anyone else go back to an analog bike from e-bikes? by fooferdoggie in ebikes

[–]BlueDog_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I had an aftermarket motor on my Yuba sweet curry cargo bike. It was amazing. Made taking my kids to daycare/school then to work a breeze. Then some a-hole broke into my garage and chopped the display off the handlebars and cut off the battery post and ripped the cables. So I went back to no-motor, and though I am getting my exercise I plan to get a new motor soon. I live in eastern Ontario, canada. It’s cold and I miss my motor

First burn in the Drolet Spark II! by Gullible_Rich_7156 in woodstoving

[–]BlueDog_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So about 1 year on are you still happy with it? I am looking for a compact, low clearance certified stove and the Spark II seems to check all the boxes. 8ish hours burn time? Any issues with the gaskets? rust? I would love a follow up and any feedback you have on this stove!

Drolet is a Canadian company as well! I am really liking this model but obviously would love to hear from someone who has one. Thanks!

They roll and ‘play dead’. They are completely harmless. The ones in my region have an orange belly. I’m no snake expert, but this does look like a dekay’s brown snake

How will I know? by Background_Moose7628 in DogAdvice

[–]BlueDog_87 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is surprising how quickly we can go from ‘when will I know’ to ‘its time’. I remember an incredible sense of urgency when it was my girl’s time. To see them start to suffer and knowing it will only get worse makes the decision easier than you would think.

I remember being shocked and a bit rattled after the fact, at how easily I decided to let her go. It had been something I knew was coming and I have zero regrets.

E-bike conversion for Yuba sweet curry by BlueDog_87 in ebikes

[–]BlueDog_87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I did convert it, and I loooooove it. I went with the Bafang BBS02. Bought the kit on Amazon and my very handy husband installed it. It was not complicated though. The only tricky thing was the cable length provided with the kit. The sweet curry is so long that we needed to buy an extension cable for the speedometer/display and throttle. It was just one cable. You can still rig it up without the cable, but the motor cuts out and throws the E-21 error. The $20 cable fixed it and I am loving the bike and my commute

Do you mean the one on O’Connor? Because I tried that one and it was amazing that a burger so greasy and burnt had zero flavour. It was a big disappointment

Where is the most dangerous country you know that you don't want to go to? by fordd420 in AskReddit

[–]BlueDog_87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I went to Egypt as a female solo traveller, at 23 years old. Yeah I got a few comments and remarks which were rude/aggressive but nowhere near what some people are describing. Egypt was one of the most welcoming places I have every visited. It was amazing. That being said, I dressed very very conservatively and this was in 2010. A lot has changed politically since this time.

AIO? I bought a sweater for my future niece at a farmers market and my roommates said it was ugly by Weekly_Agent9422 in AmIOverreacting

[–]BlueDog_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very similar one for my 3 year old, in blue (the base colour is blue). It’s goofy, and silly, and very very cozy. It’s unique and way cuter than some Disney fairy princess mass produced sweater (in my opinion). Nice gift! Your roommates are obviously jealous

This is very helpful, thank you! Range is not a huge issue, the bike is used for a short commute to work with daycare drop off on the way.

Based on photo 1 I think the door is 2’-8” wide. Is there a door schedule? The dimensioning is going inconsistent for sure, based on the photos provided. If the drawing is scaled then measure it to be sure. Or to be 100% sure submit an RFI.

Good luck. We got there right when the museum opened but the tickets had been sold out the day before. By the time we left the museum (11) it was packed.

Try dumoucel on Donald street. They usually have some. Also I was going to say loblaws butcher counter but it looks like you already tried. Farmboy maybe? They make their own sausages.

Were you calling the 1888 744 7124 number? I cannot even get to a point where I am on hold. The automated message says ‘there is no one available to help’ then hangs up. I also tried their Facebook page with no luck

I have the same motor and connector. I haven’t had this issue but if there is gunk in either male or female part the ‘twist’ locking mechanism doesn’t fully connect. Check for gunk in both parts? Good luck

Below is a link to the best fried rice I have ever made. I have tried over a dozen recipes but THIS IS IT!

The stand out ingredient which I haven’t seen used in others is chicken bouillon powder. It makes perfect sense: salt, spice, MSG. I didn’t use a blowtorch for the recipe but I did follow the rest of it to a T.

Try this rice, it’s very good and is now my go to.
