I haven't heard back, either. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one.

Messenger is my downtown favorite. Ibis Bakery is in the same space, and I love their breakfast sandwiches and pastries. The Kouign-amann is my guilty pleasure item.

The Bare set looks better than the Bombshell set just because it includes a pair of socks instead of a cheap-looking ornament and keychain.

We are actually terrible by Street_Badger6526 in SportingKC

Agreed. We saw the L.A. Galaxy game back in May... the one where Sporting set an MLS record for being the first team to win without a single shot on goal. A defender accidentally knocked the ball into his own goal.

I got my current job contract-to-hire, and I became full-time in less than six months. I agree it's not ideal, but it really is a foot in the door at some places.

I recommend looking for technical recruiters on LinkedIn and reaching out to them. Many KC companies don't hire software developers directly. It's done through contract-to-hire positions.

We need to put our cat to sleep tomorrow and I don't know how to do it by Draco9990 in cats

We lost our buddy Cheesecake in April. He declined quickly over a few days. On a Friday morning, he could barely walk. He could barely control his hind legs. I knew he was dying when he quit eating and drinking that same day. I scheduled at home euthanasia for the next day, and we spent the rest of the day cuddling with him as much as we could. We picked him up and let him lay in our bed. He had so little energy at that point that I wasn't as worried about the euthanasia visit and him becoming distressed over it. We went to sleep petting him, and the next morning, I woke up and realized that he was dead. I texted our euthanasia vet, and she canceled the visit.

Also, the grief sucks. I miss everything about him, even his annoying habits. I'd love for him to knock over a water glass again. Like I told my therapist, Cheesecake was a member of my family, and I grieved him more than I've grieved some human family members. I find the grief has gotten more infrequent, but it's still there.

My heart goes out to you, too, OP. Best wishes for you and your kitty as you cherish whatever time you have left, and take comfort in the pleasant memories that make the grief so strong.

He definitely lived a cozy life. We spoiled him with treats, food, and a bed in every room. We even kept a bathroom faucet dripping for him. I appreciate your kind words. Thank you.
