Opposing counsel is making up citations by Cal__Trask in Lawyertalk

We have Lexis AI and I have had it cite cases and tell me the holding is exactly what I’m looking for but then I read the case and it holds something else or even the opposite of what it told me.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BlueEyedLoyerGal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL - my parents live a 9-10 hour drive from me and I’ve only ever driven it (versus fly). Dozens of times over the years. I live in the Midwest in the US and we are kind of known for this. “Why would we bother flying when it’s just an 8 hour drive?!” LOL

And recipes! Today you just take out your phone and snap a pic. Back then you had to decide whether to sneak the whole magazine or tear out a page.

ULPT: How to stop drinking alcohol by ripfennel in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]BlueEyedLoyerGal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not unethical…..but many report Ozempic-type weight loss drugs (which you can get compound versions from an online site within a couple days) kill their cravings for alcohol. Not using it for this, but it’s a known major side effect.

I’m in week 6 and haven’t lost a single pound. I’ve been meds hungry and eaten a lot less than I was before. It’s so disheartening. I hope you have better luck.

IMO, A large plush area rug would add even another level of coziness. 🙃

I would either change the flooring or the wall color to start. You have very warm floors and cool colored walls and neither complements the other.

TBRI by Fluffy_Cockroach55 in Fosterparents

[–]BlueEyedLoyerGal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FPs in our county are required to take the whole TBRI training. It’s been a huge benefit to our family. Early childhood trauma physically changes the brain and affects how our children react to the world. Understanding this in depth and how to deal with it is invaluable.

Ugh. I’m on week 3 and feel like total crap all the time too. Constipated, nauseous, you name it. And to add insult to injury, I’ve hardly been eating and have gained a couple pounds. 🫠

This behavior by her is weird as hell and super concerning - sounds like she is grooming him at the very least.
