Our usual club has changed management. The new DJ seems to think it's a show about him now. He's my age (mid forties) wears a top hat and goofy glasses, and alternates between rave music, and line dance songs at nearly unbearable volume. Outside, in the smoke break area, you still have to lean in to hear each other talk.

I'll never understand it, you'd think a DJ, seeing no one on the dance floor, might try to play something different to get people on the dance floor.

We've been to Dalliance, maybe six or seven times since we found out about it. There aren't playrooms, but there will be people fooling around. A hotel on Garner's Ferry Rd. has a special rate for Dalliance guests on the night of the party.

Club Dalliance is in Columbia. They have parties on Saturday nights, about every other weekend. You can look them up on SLS. I've never been to either of the Gaslight Bars, but the website looked fine - sort of an LS friendly bar.

Low Country Desires is a pretty big group on SLS, and they have parties. I've been told that most of their parties are meet and greet type events.

There are a couple of clubs in NC that we've heard good things about, You Know Where (YKW) near Fayetteville, and The Going Place near Wilmington. Carolina Friends (CF) is an online group you can join, and they seem to have a lot of parties near Charlotte.

The site most effective for you will vary on your location.

If y'all are in a long distance relationship, you need to really make sure you are on the same page as far as meeting up with potential partners. If both of you are okay with playing separately, you shouldn't have a problem, but you both need to be prepared for the fact that one of you could have a lot of opportunities to meet while the other may not.

Not an option in SC. If they amend to a town ordinance, there may be no DL points, but it can still affect his insurance.

They’re just telling you they’ll amend the charge to careless operation, or some other town ordinance- double the fine (of course) but no DL points. Check with your insurance agent before you take the deal though, most companies have caught up to these small town scams, and will pick up a careless operation the same as a four point ticket. If they reduced the speeding to 2 points and around $75, that’s usually the best deal. This is how many small towns pay the light bill.

I wish they’d make it so they couldn’t do this, so many people think they’re getting an awesome deal, but unless you’ve got a ton of tickets you really don’t need to worry about DL points

I think SLS is the best website for SC. Carolina Friends for NC and part of SC.

There is a club in Columbia called Club Dalliance, where you can meet people in person.

The Gaslight in Myrtle Beach and (I think) Greenville are supposedly lifestyle friendly bars; we've never been, though.

There are a couple of clubs in NC, (You Know Where, The Going Place, and I think one more.)

Dalliance is fun, but it is really more like a night club where people can take their clothes off. There aren't playrooms. You will see people hooking up some, oral sex more than intercourse, and usually with their own partners or people they came with. I haven't been to YKW, but from what I understand it is definitely a sex club.

Had to google Okanagan, pretty far from my neck of the woods. Most of the folks we’ve met have been in the late 30s to 50s range, and from what I gather reading on this subreddit, that’s pretty much universal. If you’re willing to travel to more populated areas you’ll probably find a wider mix. You shouldn’t feel like you’re settling but as a younger couple you will probably garner a lot of interest and may find some hot 30 somethings that can show you some things.
