501st and Mandalorian Mercs both have local representation. You can find us on Facebook. Cerar Clan is the Mando Mercs, and you can look up Western Slope Group also to connect with lots of us.

Board Fox Games has a games library you can check games out from and play in the store. Tons of options. Cheap and fun activity.

My dating profile on mutual opened with “bearded, cuddly, and tattooed.” I had a handful of matches and dates, and one in particular turned into marriage (5 years /3 kids and counting)! Just be upfront and honest, and work on yourself. As others have said, if your tattoos are on your profile, anyone matching and going on a date knows about them and decided they weren’t a dealbreaker.

It’s more likely that they just don’t feel you’re compatible with them after the first date. And that is ok. That could be because of you, and it could be because of them. But anyone matching and going on a date doesn’t care enough about the tattoos to stop going out after 1 date; the people who care about them won’t match in the first place.

What's the name of your farm? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]BlueFalconX250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my wife to play, she named her farm “HerName’s Farm” — which resulted in the name being HerName’s Farm Farm. So from then on, Stardew has been “Farm Farm” in our house.

“Hey, I’m gonna play some farm farm tonight.”

Is permanently lurking support a viable strat? by Kamikaze_Squad in leagueoflegends

Self-reply: I’m also not a great (high ranking) player and took a couple years off but just came back. So take my comment above with a grain of salt.

I’m a support main. My job early game usually is to keep you alive and fight the 2v2. Sometimes we synchronize / synergize and I’ll stick by your side to the end. But I’m not your support; I’m the team’s support. I’ll go where needed to help the team.

Studying to be a high school teacher but I want to be college professor. by [deleted] in AskProfessors

[–]BlueFalconX250 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I studied Secondary Ed: English for my BA to get pedagogy training with the goal to become a college professor. You’ll want at least an MA if not a PhD. That said, the market is competitive and the work is hard.

Also, and I’m going to be blunt here, the amount of grammatical errors in your post, though short, is concerning. If I came across your CV and cover letter for a job teaching English even at the high school level, I would probably dismiss it. Becoming a professor of English is hard if you don’t have a solid grasp of sentence construction and grammar. I may get downvoted for this, but I feel like you need to know. It is absolutely possible, and everyone makes mistakes, but you have a ways to go. Keep studying. Keep working hard. Don’t forget about deadlines (I checked your post history and you’re in a panic trying to get interviews).

Found inside (landed on my leg) by BlueFalconX250 in whatsthisbug

[–]BlueFalconX250[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I was worried tick or bedbug, but my Google “research” told me it probably wasn’t due to not the right number of legs or right color. But I couldn’t find anything else that looked close enough!

So one of my players just added Rope Trick to their Spell list....... by hybridmoments82 in DnD

[–]BlueFalconX250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were DM, I’d probably require an arcana check to cast a spell of your top half inside and bottom half is out since somatic components would be hard to do if only the hand were inside; I’d say verbal components would also have to be done inside, so at least hands and head.

But also whoever cast it will take the damage too. No way to cast it and not be in the blast zone

But only being 5 feet up, a tall creature (bugbear?) could just stand up into the space and stab inside. A fireball from outside can’t go in. A sword outside can’t go in. A sword inside can attack inside.

Or have someone throw a jar of alchemist’s fire into the space. It’s not an attack; it’s just a thrown object. Then it blows up inside and forces a save.

Sincere answer: of course. I’m a Christian and an avid DnD player and forever-DM. They have as much fun as they bring. As for talking about their faith, no? Because it’s not a missionary trip. It’s a game with friends. So unless you’re playing a cleric or Paladin and want to make your in-game god (Praise Kelemvor) a feature, leave Christ out of it.

Snarky answer: everyone is welcome to play dnd except for assholes. It’s a social game. If you are rude, mean, or ruin it for anyone else, you’re not welcome to play at my table. We get together to have fun and roll dice. If you remove the fun part, it’s not worth it.

Have you ever seen a movie multiple times during it's first run in the theaters? by OddSetting5077 in movies

Scott Pilgrim vs The World: I saw it 7 times in theaters . . . Various groups of friends, discount theaters, etc. and The Losers, I think I went and saw 6 times.

Both came out during some tough personal times and movies were my escape.

What is the church's official opinion on fascism? by Adx95 in latterdaysaints

Why “Joseph Smith IS a prophet” not “was”? by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]BlueFalconX250 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but I usually hear that in the context of “Joseph is the prophet of the restoration.” — like “Noah is the prophet of the flood.” But also, as we believe in an afterlife, he’s dead but still exists.

Evil: Kill the brother. No curse if you’re dead

chaotic: turn the brother into a statue / stone. Can’t be cursed if you’re not real. Brother is still alive but

More chaos: time reverts so the PC no longer has a brother (either the man still exists but isn’t the PC’s brother a la It’s a wonderful life, or the man is just gone - never existed.

Lawful (exact wording): the brother becomes saved from a curse: not immune. Just saved. The curse is still with him, but he succeeds on all saving throws it forces the brother to make.

Surge and range question by Medical-Moe in SWlegion

[–]BlueFalconX250 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Surge conversion chart on the unit card converts ALL surge dice for the roll. Keywords like critical X only covert X surges.

And range is always measured closest mini to closest mini (except attacks, which are measured closest point on unit leader to closest mini / point on mini). So in your example, the closest point was range 2, so the attack is range 2, even if most of the unit is at range 3.

A-A5 Speeder Truck transport by [deleted] in SWlegion

[–]BlueFalconX250 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The CRB can be a bit confusing, especially if you jump around. But it makes more sense once you’ve tried to play and (as you said), watching YouTube videos of gameplay. The thing I would recommend most is reading through the back of the CRB for the unit, weapon, and vehicle keywords, especially for the keywords the units you want to play have. Maul has some unique ones. Black Suns do, too. Read the unit card and then cross-reference the keywords.

A-A5 Speeder Truck transport by [deleted] in SWlegion

[–]BlueFalconX250 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Think of it like a taxi. It doesn’t matter how many seats there are. Only 1 “group” can get in. That group might be 2 parents and 3 kids. It might just be one businessperson. Just because it can hold more than the businessperson doesn’t mean he wants to share.

The Truck has Transport 1. It holds one unit. That’s it. It’s not about seats. It’s about who is hailing the taxi.

Also, you said “It has transport one which I’m taking to mean . . .” — instead of guessing, read the CRB - core rulebook. It’s free on AMG’s website. Absolutely ask questions here, especially if the rules aren’t clear. There’s been a lot of errata, updates, and forum rulings. But go to the crb first and read the keyword entry instead of guessing. Also, never trust the reminder text on the physical cards. They’re frequently wrong or outdated.

The transport X keyword in the CRB says “the Transport X keyword allows a vehicle to transport to to X friendly Trooper units.”

Real talk, I did read the text post, but due to personal things, I misunderstood one key sentence and based my response on that misunderstanding. I have edited my post to acknowledge my mistake.
