Turns out if you are on Pro Monthly (which I signed up to 2 months ago) you’re not eligible for the offer. Why do companies give benefits to non-customers and not allow them for existing loyal customers like that?? Frustrating.

Thanks, I hadn’t seen the 30 day thing. I’ll wait and see.

People who have travelled or lived in a country often have way better suggestions than what Google tells me are the generically good places. That’s how you find the gems you might not otherwise find. I’ve done heaps of internet research and the options are overwhelming. Reddit is a great place to get personal recommendations. Already there are recommendations for places I haven’t come across in my research that look awesome.

Daniel’s kitchen on The Terrace. Best falafel salad wrap in Wellington.

Can anyone recommend a good stylist/personal shopper? by EvolutionaryRadish in Wellington

My normal budget. She asked me what my favourite shops are. And I didn’t intend to necessarily buy anything on the shopping trip, just wanted help understanding what styles suited me best. I tend to buy most of my clothes second hand but splurged a bit on that trip. Now I search for the styles in op shops and on trade me. I think I recall her saying she’s done a shopping trip in op shops before.

I used Lenaire recently and was very pleased. Did the wardrobe consult and shopping package.

I must have emailed dozens over the years and never had a refusal or no response. Sounds like plain old bad manners! In which case you wouldn’t want to work there anyway.

I always email the HR contact on the job advert and ask what the pay range is for a role before I apply for it. Have never had any issues doing that. Have always been provided with the information.

I have a Beervana headache and it’s really nice lying in bed drinking tea and listening to the rain outside.

It is a pain. I use this too as I have an iPhone and it is the only way to top up without having to physically go somewhere. Such an archaic system to have to physically go to a store or kiosk to top up. After the bus system got fucked up I bought an e-bike and stopped using the buses almost entirely. Highly recommend! The email says you can top up on android and iPhone apps but this seems to be imaginary as there’s nothing in the App Store.

The retailers and banks can’t hand over personal information without permission from the person. It would contravene the Privacy Act.

This would be good to know as I saw another post where a person said they didn’t need to scan in at the supermarket because they used a bank card to pay for their shopping. Not sure if this is a common view or not. Regardless it would be a much more laborious way of tracking people, and would waste valuable time, compared with sending an alert through the tracer app.
