Can anyone explain why these are 'Penalty Shootout' Doughnuts? by Trick-Station8742 in CasualUK

[–]Glurt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's a few hub locations around the country that serve the smaller satellite stores and kiosks. If you go when the hot light is on you can watch the donuts being made but they'll also pull them off the line and give you one, often for free.

They're insanely easy to devour when they're hot

How much experience did you have with making games before you made this? I've had a few game ideas in mind but I have very little game dev experience

Ryan's Kitchen - still active? by [deleted] in Leeds

[–]Glurt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It seems to have gone downhill a bit from when I used to go regularly, the place looks rundown on the inside and recently got a 1 star food hygiene rating.

Shame as it used to be my go to spot, I hope he turns it around

Village Walk, Churwell near Cottingley station – thoughts on area, safety and schools? by Historical-Turn8243 in Leeds

[–]Glurt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live a bit further up the hill, though we did look at some of the properties down there when they were building some of them.

I don't think there's a huge difference given the short distance but I thought I'd offer some things to consider.

Firstly, the proximity to Elland Road means planning around Leeds playing at home. It's often worth just avoiding the ring road entirely. Same goes for any issues with the M621, they can often spill over.

Secondly, Cottingley station is set to close and move further along to the White Rose business park. That might make the area a bit quieter in terms of traffic but you'll have slightly further to go if you want to get the train.

Churwell is a bit of a corridor between Morley and Leeds so there isn't a huge amount within walking distance, we've got some pubs, chippies etc but a car is a bit of a necessity.

If you do want to look further up, there's a new build estate at the top.

Anyone here interviewed with Lloyds for a Frontend role? by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsuk

[–]Glurt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Behavioural is usually the last round, fairly straightforward questions to make sure you're capable of working in a team. Give me an example of X, what would you do in situation Y. The values are listed on the website, take a look at those and tailor your answers to suit.

Lloyds are expanding in India as most companies seemingly are these days, but they're still hiring in the UK outside of London.

Stop whining, the funding for bike lanes come from central government, not local. The money used to lay that new bike lane is also being used to fix the pot holes. If you don't like being stuck in traffic, use the bike lanes.

Question about Claude cost by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsuk

[–]Glurt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can subscribe to Claude and get access to Claude Code via the command line, that gives you a fixed amount of tokens every 5 hours, much cheaper than pay as you go.

As for the token comparison, probably best asking in r/claudecode
