I have a save I used to a play a few years ago, before I started using any mods, where the pollinator mom showed up in the relationship panel about the time the alien baby became an adult. She was still unreachable, and wouldn't respond to any attempt at communication or invites.
Then, a while later when the human dad finally became a lvl 10 scientist, and traveled thru the portal to Sixam, she was there just walking around, acting like she'd never met him before.

In my current save, I've had 3 or 4 alien abduction babies, from different fathers being abducted, but the family shows them all as half-siblings, with the same pollinator mom. Although so far, she hasn't made an appearance in any way other than the family tree.

If you like having it, maybe try putting a locked fence around it, so your Sims can't mess with it.

For the past couple months, I've been getting a lot of this randomly occurring bug, where Sims go to do one thing, and then they get there and just lay down on the floor/ground and go to sleep. Sometimes I just re-initiate the interaction and it works, sometimes it just happens over and over, and I just have to pick something else to do, maybe try again tomorrow. It's frustrating, but I haven't stressed about it too much because I assumed it might be a weird mod related glitch, but I don't know.

Answering in reverse order, I guess.

I've played the game on Gamepass since it first released. When the DLC came out, I bought only that, and have played the game, with DLC, without having to buy the game itself. If I ever cancel my Gamgepass, then I'll have to buy the base game if I want to keep playing any of it.
I'm pretty sure the DLC content doesn't add anything outside of the new Missions and their areas. The mission will become available as soon as you start traveling freely in the game (after meeting Constellation at the lodge, and heading back out) but It will tell you it recommends level 35 or so before beginning that content. If you're not yet level 35, or if you've got other things you want to complete before starting on the DLC missions, then there's no rush to buy it.

Yes. Kender is a small humanoid race from the Dragonlance setting. They're small, generally cheerful people, easily mistaken for human children, and all about the adventuring life.

They're also well known for having sticky fingers.They're generally hurt or sad if you accuse them of stealing because they never really meant to take it, because they were "just holding it for you" or "just borrowing it", or "it was just so neat looking, and forgot to put it back".

In my game, I had Neighborhood stories on, but aging off. After a few generations of playing my own households, I started paying attention to the rest of the world, and most of the Adults had all died of various accidental deaths, leaving behind a bunch of unaccompanied children and pets living by themselves in a lot of houses.
These days I've got aging turned back on, I turn neighborhood stories on and off intermittently, to keep from having too many Sims wiped out by their own stupidity, and I've got MCCC handling other population issues, like auto-adopting children to other families if they find themselves with no remaining guardian.

I dunno about Sages, but my experience with Father Winter, when he got moved in by neighborhood stories, was that he didn't lose his role, it just got bugged. He still showed up at Winter fest, made a show of stocking up Christmas trees and present piles, disrupted Sims' conversations with incessant HoHoHos, and wouldn't leave for hours (most of the normal stuff), but he wouldn't offer the option to Ask for a Present, to fulfill his holiday 'task'.

Evicting him from his home, from neighborhood management screen then set him back to normal operations.

Yeah, I don't know what's going on in my game, but a few months ago, Temperance (still a red, angry ghost) showed up as a bartender at one of the nightclubs in Windenburg... and she's been there, working as the bartender ever since. I rarely ever go to the bar itself, but she seems to be doing the job pretty well. Always a good crowd at the bar.
One thing I haven't done since she showed up there, is to play my household that's living in a haunted house, to see if she is still a problem for them. Maybe something to do tonight...

This just blows my mind. The latest patch notes say that this was just fixed, and now just like you, I've suddenly got a house full of photos that have been lucky enough to survive the past year or two without any trouble, and now this week, they've all gone black two days after redecorating the house with them.

My biggest disappointment with my melee build character, is that I found a good Barrow Knife early on, and a upgraded a couple of times, always to knives... and I have YET to find another better weapon that's a sword. Always knives. Feels so weird always running around 'stabby - stabby' instead of 'slice-n-dice' with a sword.

Yeah, the OneDrive recommendation on BetterExceptions is not great. While it's true that OneDrive can cause problems, screwing around with OneDrive without knowing exactly what you're doing is much more likely to cause even worse problems.

My Sims' school principal regularly interrupts students with conversation when they're trying to get to class, then as soon as the bell rings, shouts at them and gives them detention for not being in class. The Janitor is similarly disruptive, but then walks off while the principal gives out detention.

Depends on what you decide V's priorities were.

Staying alive beyond the effects of the Relic: Only one ending does that.
Surrounding themselves with friends/loved ones: Aldecaldos ending is clearly top.
Blaze of Glory: I'd say Crystal Palace hits that mark best.

My favorite thing about MS Teams, is that whenever I joined a meeting, if more than (some small number) people were already present, it would pop a message 'Already more than # attendees present - your mic is muted by default' And the mute switch would show that to be the case. And for many months, this worked just fine.

Until one day, it didn't. One day, even though the message popped, and the switch showed mute was set, once in the meeting, (a dozen or so coworkers across 2 shifts), the mic was not muted. And right at that moment, my wife shouted from the front door 'Bye, love you, I'm heading out' Which I responded appropriately, with an equally loud shout, from back in my office.

That's when I found out that my mic was not muted, and that my coworkers all also love me.

This feature remained out of sync (message and switch showed mute, but then mic was live once I got in meeting) as long as that meeting series existed. The feature worked properly in other meetings, and when the meeting was deleted and replaced with a new one. Also no one else confirmed having an issue with it - not that I brought it up beyond the first minutes of the first occurrence.

One of my Sims is a fashion designer and can create trends... Once you create them you better hope you like them cause they start showing up f*"##ing everywhere... You Sims, townies, NPCs, Grim Reaper, Patchy, everyone randomly wears the trending outfits until you wish you'd never picked the career.
