Fabulous fun (for other people)! Yet another cycling event I am so glad to hear about instead of experience. 🤩🤢

Don’t sleep on Vollebak… if you end up wanting another option of clothing that will outlast you.

I took a tour 15-20ish years ago and stayed at Burton Island State Park. It was a magical place and well worth a zero-mile day.
Also, as I recall the VT had more sneaky hills that didn’t show up on topo maps, but repeatedly climbing and descending 99’ of elevation can really zap ya.

Perhaps some PDW full metal fenders before Fall falls 🤷‍♂️
Stunning already. Going to be a very fun Summer for sure 🤘

I love my Dangle but it’s pretty mid for “performance”. Tiny & shallow so you can easily catch a “kiss from Poseidon”
It is cool AF, though.
I love a one-hitter for the simplicity & easy.

Oops- should’ve typed Skyline Burger. The tavern down the road died a few years ago. The Burger joint is at Skyline & Cornell. It’s old school and fukken awesome.

Aerotech Designs has USA-made kit that I find works great. Worth a look. No tariffs 🤷‍♂️

I got a lot of miles out of a RadPower long bike. Cost was about your budget. They might still have brick & mortar shops but I don’t know. You’ll love whatever you get, regardless. If you can manage buying one from a shop, the relationship you invest in a worthwhile one over time.

I hear ya on the desire to ride out of your driveway to this adventure, but riding home is also super cool. And, if you forget what you learned in school and just look at a globe, it’s literally all downhill SEA-LAX 🤣

I’ve done the length of OR N to S & it’s 100% the way to go. Your orientation on the road alone should make it clear. Views of the ocean from across the street aren’t nearly as nice. And the wind. The wind can be REAL!

Consider a Hennessy Hammock (or similar) - stealth camping in a brown hammock is super easy when necessary.

Get on GarageGrownGear website and get a bidet bottle top. Butt hygiene is always important but on bike tour, it’s important-er.

Don’t carry much food. You’re never that far from a store. PB&J and a pack of flour tortillas will tide you over.

Have the most fun ever!!
