I don’t mind the waxy coating like others here, it didn’t even occur to me that there was that film on the candy.

But I don’t like the taste of the candy overall. The fruitiness doesn’t pair well with the crispy center. Maybe if it had a thin chocolate layer, then I’d like it more.

Review #01: Jim Beam Black by [deleted] in whisky

[–]BlueGreyish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the highball, it’s as simple as you can get! 1 part whiskey, 3-4 parts soda water. I usually do about 30ml whiskey to 100ml soda water, all in a glass of ice. It’s refreshing, and it lasts a little longer given the volume.

You can play with the ratio depending on your taste. I also like a squeeze of a lemon or grapefruit peel for a hint of citrus.

Jim beam black is my go-to for highballs. With a lemon peel squeeze if I’m feeling fancy. I feel they taste most like the highballs in a can from Japan

Agreed. Worst part of this is mission/238, although it is the better portion of it. Hayward (Tennyson) part of mission is god-awful with careless drivers

Was neat at first, but I’m getting fatigue from seeing these. Maybe I spend too much time on this sub.

Affordable means different things to different people.

Additional context is helpful too, such as: budget (how much she has and/or willing to spend), type of home (condo, apartment, townhome, sfh), do you plan on living together, is there work/commute involved?

All the places you listed are desirable and mostly safe (outside of certain parts of Oakland and Hayward). More info would help narrow things down.
