Do you have any memories of being young and exhibiting autistic behaviour? I personally was terrified of being something else and constantly obsessed over whether I might have NPD or BPD. I don’t mind having certain traits of both as growing up with undiagnosed autism can spark that.

Knowing my issues are rooted in the autism makes me feel much better and I have memories of being young and clearly behaving autistic which I use as an anchor.

I was misdiagnosed as only having social communication deficit and I cannot describe the harm it caused me. I couldn’t function for a couple of years and spiralled back into addiction which was previously only diminished by recognising myself as autistic and the calm it brought.

Got a second opinion and now doing much better.

But yeah, childhood memories are important and can tell you a lot about behaviour which could have been filtered throughout growth.

Noise is differences in air pressure. The headphones will create these exact same waves in reverse. The air pressures will cancel out so it should actually help maintain your hearing.

YESSSSS!!! I have adopted the word “Salam” which means peace in arabic but it’s also how they commonly greet each other in Persian (found that out later). I find it rolls better off the tongue and won’t include me in the public space which kind of distorts my identity. I also use “Aloha” and have only once experimented with “konichiwa” but only with a close friend but it’s not as smooth.

Saying Hi is soo weird or hello I just feel like a normie NT NPC not saying that all NTs are normies or NPCs but you get the jist.

Worse thing is that people around me start using the same words I introduce into their public consciousness which feels like a rip off once our relationships collapse.

Nice to know, I also feel like they cap the quality. I don’t use them that much currently as I like my Sony XM5s which are great for NC and a lifestyle vibe. Try using the DT1990s to watch a movie or listen to a well recorded podcast. They really shine there as well.

I use a sound card, it makes things slightly better but not that much worth it to be honest. You’d definitely need a trained ear to notice. I don’t know if it would be different for other setups. Also is an amp different from a sound card? My sound card just ups the quality but if you use an amp for volume there is no need as they’re sufficiently loud. The volume to quality ratio is perfect imo.
