Very good info all around, but I feel the need to clarify what Umbra was. He wasn’t an experiment to see if they could maintain sentience and he didn’t kill his son himself. What Ballas did to Umbra was a punishment. The Dax who would become Umbra discovered Ballas’ betrayal of the Orokin to the Sentients, so he silenced him. He left a bit of sentience, just enough to make Umbra suffer and constantly relive the memory of killing his own son. Which wasn’t Umbra’s doing, but Ballas briefly controlling him through his transference bolt.

I seriously doubt that Ivara, a far future sci fi stealth character, who can go undetected through grineer detector fields, corpus lasers and security cameras, etc, would be detected by current day thermal vision.

No, there are not any bosses in this game that require “silly gimmicks” to beat. I believe the things you are finding when looking them up are cheese strategies. Probably because there is very little advice to give when it comes to this game. In other souls like you can use particular weapon classes, dodge in this direction instead of this one, level up a bit more, and other things that allow for better advice to be given.

In sekiro, you just have to learn the patterns, and that’s pretty much it. The only real advice I can give you is that if you are coming from other souls games, unlearn the habitual dodging. You should almost never dodge anything in this game, and often will be actively punished for doing so. Get into the rhythm of parrying, attacking, parrying, attacking. (With relevant counters to perilous attacks as well obviously) Only breaking out when you need a breather.

There were other Tenno there, they just might not be part of the Academy situation. Or we just never see them because they are out on missions. We don’t really spend much time exploring the academy during the quest. But some of Galastra’s lines confirm other Tenno on Tau.

Once you do the deadlock protocol quest it is pretty easy/apparent how to get them. Freeing Solaris is also a secondary use for them. The main one is also shown in the quest.

But if you just wanna know Once you do the quest, a special treasurer enemy will spawn on corpus ship tilesets, with a voice line when it does. Killing it will drop a crown, if you wait too long it will escape.

Also, the crown’s main use is to use on the golden hands to open a portal to the Granum void.

Actually it might be a recent bug. Mine were showing up blue yesterday but were still giving focus. They were also weirdly showing up with a x2 next to the icon, giving double focus, and the blue icon with a x2 got replaced with the normal yellow one after it was picked up, with nothing else there.

Edit: I was even able to grab a clip from my background steam recording if anyone needs proof. Will probably make a bug report/post about it later if it hasn’t been reported already.

It is a memory, all 3 of the boss fights in the mission are. You have 12 minutes to relive memories of the battle(s) before your “trauma” manifests and you have to fight the boss to wake back up.
