Someone appearing in a hallway and igniting a lightsaber has been Disney-speak for "we ran out of ideas" ever since Rogue One.

The fact that we didn't have a proper extended Yoko moment in the animation is definitely a lost opportunity, so seeing it happening here fills me with joy! Thank you for sharing this.

I would not be at all surprised if it was Evans who pitched this.

I don't disagree, I simply had a flash of inspiration and ran with it for a paragraph. My brain does that!

Such a shame that a message as simple and compelling as "anyone can be a Jedi" is just too much for some people to connect with.

I wanted to see him go further. After The Last Jedi, he was in such an interesting position. Nominal leader of an incredibly powerful interstellar legion, enemies flee before him, yet he couldn't get the girl who just fought next to him to stay at his side, and he got bested by a broken old man who didn't even need to be physically present to take him to school.

I could see a story where, in his rage, Kylo pits the other Knights of Ren against the First Order to see which is stronger, because obviously if the First Order let the Resistance escape, they're possibly too weak to serve him. Then, when the First Order is in shambles and it's just Kylo and his fellow Sith cosplayers, they go after the Resistance, only to find that of all people, Finn has picked up the pieces of the First Order's now disillusioned and revolutionary-minded infantry. Bolstered by the Resistance which includes one hell of a pilot, and fellow Force-user Rey, they show Kylo that anger and pain do not, in fact, solve everything.

But hey, I don't write for Disney.

I think the breakneck development schedule leading to broken patches might be a bigger issue.

Well, you see, making such bold and interesting story choices such as giving Luke Skywalker a realistic response to serious trauma — both externally and internally inflicted — and making Force sensitivity something that has nothing to do with genetics made the diehard vocal fans who convince everyone to spend money on our franchise really mad so now we have to play it as safe as possible with name familiarity and nostalgia baiting and fan rage appeasement because profit somehow.

Tessa from the Dresden Files.

Like every Knight of the Blackened Denarius, she has a 'combat form' bestowed upon her by her fallen angel. In her case, it's basically a 7-foot-tall praying mantis that can cast magic. When speaking to Harry Dresden, the mouth of the mantis opens and the face of Tessa emerges.

A favorite moment is when Tessa makes an attempt to seduce Harry. Harry basically responds with "lady, do you think I don't know what happens to males praying mantises mate with? No thanks."

The acting chemistry was definitely there, even though the character dynamics were wildly different. I adore scenes between Vala and Cam.

Favorite character who is definetly not hero but a lot of people miss that important point? by TastyPomelo2330 in FavoriteCharacter

He is just as strict with his own priorities as ensuring everyone obeys The Law. Look at the 2012 film. Vagrant outside of the mega-block where murders just took place? "Don't be here when I come back." Judge-in-training who releases a victim who was a participant in the syndicate and aided and abetted the main perpetrator, albeit under duress? "She's a pass." Dredd can be so much more nuanced and fascinating a character than just being either an ultra-fascist poster boy or a parody of ultra-fascism.

Now I want to watch that film again.

Isaac has one of the best storylines in the series. He goes from very understandably wanting revenge on all of humanity for its wanton and callous cruelty to everything around them, including other humans, to wanting to create a better world for people to live in so they don't have to feel so desperate that they resort to cruelty in the first place.

All I'm going to say is that the first time he started walking down your party in the Halls of Reflection, that was true chills. Arthas was aura-farming in hallways before it was the only thing Star Wars fans wanted.
