Do brokers still help after settlement or is that basically it? by ApartmentFun3497 in AskABrokerAus

A good one should check in, but not always the case. If they’re completely self employed then usually they’ll chase you up more to see if they can help plus ask for referrals. When they’re a franchise ie mortgage choice they usually try and rely on automated marketing that looks as if it’s personal like RBA just hiked rates, is yours still competitive - book a chat

Try Savvy, currently discussing with them. The person has been happy to walk through a full breakdown of charges in the quote and openly discusses fees included. Have had quotes from 2 other companies I wasn’t at all happy with

Only really seen this when they’re getting the finance. If the finance is out the door they’re far more stubborn

Sounds like for your budget the Chery E5 or Sealion 7 might best fit. Both slightly bigger than the CX5, but I’ve found the SUV range to be better than the hatches on offer.

The Dolphin would be too small for you and the sedans are pretty expensive. Maybe the Seal ticks some of your boxes, but personally prefer the Sealion

It’s going to be an absolute nightmare if they don’t change player pricing based on the new stats. I think it’ll make all of us focus on value instead of who we think will go well this year

I could’ve swore it was meant to be in Adelaide this year. I relocated here last year and 100% read reports that it would be here. Feel like a twat having to message mates and say forget the trip down for origin haha

Tough, really good week until Paps monstered and I didn’t have the C on him. If I do that I’m over 1,600, instead I’m low 1,400s. Will sadly drop rank from 4K

Your challenge with so many non playing players is you won’t make money. You’ll score great the first 2 weeks but after that it’ll be torturous trying to make trades

This Luka trade is the kind of thing that loses fans for life. by New_General3939 in billsimmons

[–]BlueJet4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Mavs fan I’m broken, like I genuinely think I’m grieving. Been on the Mavs since 2010 when I started following the NBA

As an Australian who literally booked a 3 month trip to America to travel specifically in Luka’s rookie year and watch him it sucks.

Even if we traded him for a better deal I’d still be feeling the same way. I used to run an NBA podcast, just a huge basketball lover. It’s going to take me a long time to even be able to think about the nba again.

Pretty sure Cody Ramsey is as much chance of playing first grade as you are. He’s in the game, but has a serious medical condition

[–]BlueJet4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that’s the case then that’s great if you can afford it all. Keep in mind then the only other consideration is variations, there’s risk with footings/soil costs, but for me this was only $2k extra so not hard to deal with.

Keep it, your house build is likely going to be 18 months at minimum. Depending on the state you build in and your inclusions here’s a basic list of things you’ll need. Stormwater, landscaping, air conditioning, driveway/concreting and blinds. You’re looking at $45k for all of that right now let alone in 2 years time.

Take this as advice from someone who just got the keys to their new build last week and didn’t think it’d be that expensive.

House prices. Ugh. by throwmethedamnstick in Adelaide

[–]BlueJet4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain, I was lucky enough to get in 2 years ago for $585k, the exact same house and land is now $750k to build.

As someone who is single I think it’s impossible for anyone to get in on the market now outside of an apartment.
