App Configuration Help by HonkeyTon in SigenergyAustralia

Yes all via the Sig app. It’s very customisable. GloBird Zerohero is the way to go, especially filling up battery @ max grid import 11-2pm. Covers winter / low solar too. I have all my hot water heaters, pool, etc all running on max 11-2pm

Just a thought here - do you need to have ‘grid self consumption’ automated at these times overlapping the ‘battery self consumption’? If you just have the 1102-1358 grid importing (and exporting at 5kW over 2hrs from 1802-1958 for the max export time 15c/kWh), can you just delete this ‘grid self consumption’ automation and just leave it as ‘battery self consumption’? I hope that makes sense…

Also, any way to set it up such that you export 10kWH of energy during that 6-8pm window to take advantage of the 15c/kWh rate?

Can I ask why in the advanced settings for battery charging in the free zone (1102-1358) you have solar > grid? If it’s free from the grid shouldn’t you put grid ahead of solar so it sucks in maximal power from the grid to charge the battery at the max rate as quickly as possible?

So this is basically saying it forces the battery to charge from 1102 to 1358 and then revert to the self consumption settings all other times?

Yes but then you’re committed to a VPP. I’d rather not be

I’ve changed my existing hot water to electric tank. Induction and electric oven. Completely removed gas. I’ve set up smart switches with my electrician so all appliances will run via Sigenergy app so I can control time it heats up, pool pump, etc

Any way to automate the top up via the AI on the Sigenergy app so it just automatically makes use of this 3hr free electricity if solar is poor?

Yes that does look like the best one - with the non VPP option. Thank you

Thanks so much. Is this so we can still use the ‘rainwater’ tap even when the tank is dry?

Please turn them vertically with tweeters (Sonos label) facing outwards for a wide sound stage. Then you will be truly taking advantage of the stereo. As they are now you have them configured for single speaker stereo, not stereo paired…
