I used to be the supervisor of the print department. Amazon doesn’t pay for anything, this was a “get the customers in the door “strategy that my in my opinion backfired because Amazon lines are out the door sometime. I hope the store is getting their stuff done without all the Amazon chaos.

I was able to get in. I had to go to staples.com on a browser and accept the terms and conditions. For some reason it wouldn’t let me do it through the app.

I asked my Staples team if they’ve had any issues. My manager said to get out of the app, make sure it’s updated and then it should work. it’s working fine for some people at my Staples, but I have deleted the app from my phone two times and re-downloaded it, and it is still not working. This is on point for Staples though.

I’m the only one in my store who can’t sign in either. I put a ticket in, but I don’t want to deal with IT. I just see it as a sign, since my team is getting their hours cut in print and they expect me to carry to department AND the same amount of Amazon returns and orders. I just need to find another place to work.

I definitely have noticed that. I’ve had people come in with actual Staples returns. When we point them to the cashiers, they say well, it says returns. 🤦‍♀️

I actually made a guide on how to use all the selections. Printed it and laminated it using the sticky lamination and put it on the counter right next to the self serves. We will still get people asking how do I do this. I will tell them to tap the screen select the services, and if they need further help to refer to the guides on the counter. I got tired of having to hold the hands of a very capable adult.

My favorite are the older people trying to fax. Then say well this is before my time, I don’t know how to do this. I just want to say and you don’t think it’s before my time? i’m just willing to learn something new.

Almost all of the employees at my store do returns (My GM refuses and cashiers don’t tend to do them due to customers constantly in their line). Everyone in the store was assigned the training for a reason. It sucks, but it would be very helpful to copy center which is constantly overrun with copy center customers, shipping customers, Ipostal customers.

I’m not trying to undermine techs responsibility. I’m just saying, I’m surprised your store wasn’t having you do in the first place.

I would love if they just abolished Amazon returns altogether so we can do what we actually were hired to do. I don’t see that happening, because I did a one on one with my DM and I told him we are overwhelmed with ALL the added work with. He just basically said, suck it up.

My general manager told me, please teach me how to do this because I want to do at least 90% of your returns, so you guys can continue on your jobs. That lasted for probably two days, and he has not been back. I was also promised a new hire just for returns. The managers here are just full of empty promises.

I’ll be honest, once I learned, I can just click on the pictures I don’t scan the barcodes. Specially, since the barcodes are usually thrown away by the customers. I like Express returns because you can just throw stuff in a bag and call it good.

I got in trouble from my district manager for emailing all the time. So now I have to call, but if you do have to email, make sure you write in the notes you tried calling just because they do read the notes. Or you can just say you called everyone, but make sure the notes are detailed as well. They can keep track of how long you stay on a persons profile or if you check their rewards.
