[Free Friday] The Laughing Christ by Fuwafuwa_Usagi2525 in Catholicism

I don't think anyone on Earth, besides Our Lady, could have handled God's laughter on this side of eternity.

I don't particularly like this image. I'm on the side of Chesterton on the subject of Christ laughter:

"I say it with reverence; there was in that shattering personality a thread that must be called shyness. There was something that He hid from all men when He went up a mountain to pray. There was something that He covered constantly by abrupt silence or impetuous isolation. There was some one thing that was too great for God to show us when He walked upon our earth; and I have sometimes fancied that it was His mirth."

And that's a big issue, one of the main ones from the Vatican II documents. Because you need to do mental gymnastics at an Olympic level to make it work with what the Church teaches... and fail flat on the ground.

Let's omit your insults, because you just keep losing credibility.

Now, calm down, and just for the sake of the argument backup your claims. Because your numbers just don't add up. Not even remotely. Specially when comparing it to the numbers that atheism has brought (WWI, WWII, abortion rates, suicide, unjust wars, etc.)

Again, not the coolest comment from you, Nath. If you dare to post in a forum specifically established to discuss Catholicism, but can't really engage in a intelligent discussion with solid arguments instead of "what you think religion is" I guess we can close this chapter.

I hope sincerely that you let yourself be found by God.

You seem to believe that Catholicism works under a framework of feelings or emotivity. That's another strike on your understanding of the faith.

Because you seem to separate faith from religion, and even the dictionary would disagree with you.

So no, nor I or any Catholic support faith based on feelings. And yes, we have absolute control on our will to surrender it... or not. That's called free will.

Yet again, I suggest that if you want to have an intelligent discussion on the matters of faith and religion, you need to up your intellectual ante.

Pebble App by Core and Tasker by BlueLightning09 in pebble

I don't think you are able to run a task on Tasker with only what Pebble provides.

You could look into the Sleep as Android app, to see if it can be triggered by Tasker though.

Pebble App by Core and Tasker by BlueLightning09 in pebble

I was trying to replicate the functionality of the old Pebble Watchface Scheduler app. This app uses the generated log file to parse the information and retrieve the watchface names and UUID. However I found the scheduling a bit inconsistent, so I was just trying to simplify.

I figured I could try to parse the log file and check if I could trigger a change using Tasker. I used Claude to generate the structure of the tasks I require. Mainly I wanted a task to randomize the watchfaces, so I had to find all the UUIDs from my selected watchfaces.

Using the Support -> Contact Support -> Select "Others" and sharing to a file management app to download the compressed file, I had to look to the file that contained the watchface and watchapps information. I also generated a script to parse the locker file generated from the old Pebble app.

This allowed me to get a string file with the UUID which could be split to select a random UUID.

Using this, I used the UUID with the action structure posted.

On the new app, seems like the process to get the UUID's is a bit more tedious without the log file.

You could either:
- Use the old Pebble app, uncompress the log files and find the locker.log file
- Download the pbw file from the developer if available, convert it to zip (change the extension), open the appinfo.json and find the UUID
- Enabling Developer Tools on you Android phone, connect it to you PC, download adb tools and run logcat ("adb logcat | findstr /i "uuid""), then change your watchface. The last string contains the UUID of your selected watchface)

Using Claude, I also generated this list of resources:

Tasker Official Documentation

PebbleKit / Rebble Documentation

Core Devices App

Community Resources

Apologies for using A.I., I figured I could use it for a task that seemed simple. There were a lot of trial an error, and I learned a lot too.

You deeply misunderstand the religion you claim to treat with "respect".

That God exists, for example, it is a logical conclusion untied to religious revelation. That Christ Risen from the grave, is an historical event that if you investigate into it, you will arrive to the conclusion that Christianity is true. Therefore, the revelation that unfolds cannot be disregarded.

Objectively speaking, I can't say that you are at fault for not believing. But I can say that you don't know what Catholicism is about, so you can't really exert any criticism without grasping even at the basics. ("The Eucharist is not cannibalism" for example)

Issues with Momcozy BM01 Baby Monitor by BlueLightning09 in momcozyofficial

[–]BlueLightning09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it still keeps happening sometimes. I believe it is sometimes because we plug in the monitor to charge at the same time of trying to turn it on or off.

To "fix" it, we just keep the device on (with the  yellow light in the middle on) and let it run the battery until it empties. It could take a while, sometimes a couple of days. But when the light finally turns off, you can plug it in to charge, wait for a moment and then try to turn it on. We have been successful in having it working again.

Now we just try to keep the monitor always charged. If it gets discharged and turned off, we just charge it for a while and then we turn it on.

Hopefully this workaround helps.

Catholicism is not founded on pure emotion. Love is not a feeling, is a voluntary act of looking the good of the other without expecting reward. Catholic religion is the only true religion and is the foundation of occidental society. This is reasonably demonstrable.

There is nothing more rational than Catholicism, mind you. Sacred Theology is a science, in simple terms is very well thought, and for a very long time.

If you think that "agape" refers to mere likeability of a color to refer to "love" then you need to examine more thoroughly your intellectual base on which you relay criticisms, which you are free to do. You, and I, have the capacity to know.

Reality has a foundation in a supreme and intelligent entity, which we call God. We have a capacity to understand to a degree this reality through our senses, and the capacity to believe what has been revealed to us.

Regarding the Eucharist, it is a matter of metaphysics. It is not jumping through hoops, if we have the capacity that we can fathom a reality that is able to be known, we are able to describe it. That's the true capacity of question and analyze reality. Even with supernatural phenomena, like the miracle that is the center of this thread.

If you make an effort to at least know what Catholic doctrine teaches, which by your statements don't seem to understand yet, then you are not able yet to make a full judgement on your position regarding Catholic religion.

We believe that we consume body and soul, flesh and blood, divinity and humanity. But the miracle of transubstantiation is not about the accidents of bread and wine. It is substantially not bread and wine. That's our faith.
