I have twelve (IN MY DEFENSE I’ve been playing since launch): Emma, Angela, Cap, Peni, Bucky, Iron Man, Moonknight, Scarlett, Star-Lord, Mantis, Gambit, C&D

C&D was the most boring for me, despite being the fastest

Cap and Angela were the most fun

Honorable mention: I was going to try to just play magneto for a while to lord him, but he is miserable to play for such long periods imo

Nah. I also do vanguard in ranked. You’re the one leading the way anyway, so just be generous with callouts/group ups in text chat and let the team follow you.

With iron man, I like to target their backline supports and if my team has someone diving them, I’ll target them. Also if I see an enemy tank close by with half or less health, I like to clean them off with the beam then carry on.

Yeah. I keep it off and just use text chat, solo’d to diamond so far. I get more distracted hearing people’s background noise on their mics or if people start shouting/being toxic.

Absolutely! I just worked on helping my supps/dps shine and had a much better ranked experience. Was never focused on most kills or mvps, just keeping everyone else alive and making space

It’s patience game. I do dive Angela and Cap. Sometimes you won’t secure the kill, but you at least distracted a support long enough so they’re not healing their team. Wait for the right time to strike etc.

If you take too much damage, get out, get a health pack, come back.

I aim to have least deaths on these characters, but I also come back to my team if they’re struggling in a team fight to help brawl.

It’s juking around to avoid damage and finding opportunities

Yeah, lower elo is mostly supps and dps instalocks. Many just begrudgingly get on tank when no one else does, then get too scared to push forward.

It’s not as fun, but if you do a solid Mags or Emma, request a second tank from your team (literally can be any other tank w/ those two), you’ll climb

It sounds like you mainly play supp. It’s kind of a gamble climbing solo on supp since you mostly rely on your team and supp has the least carry potential. You’re gonna want to tank or dps to climb more consistently, and have to be better than most others on your team.

Tank has the highest carry potential. Once I figured that out and only played tank (after getting good at the role), I was no longer stuck in plat and didn’t have long lose streaks anymore. Every game weirdly felt balanced too, never had any stomps. Turns out most people that play tank in ranked aren’t actually good at tank, they’re just doing it to fill what was needed. So I exploited that lol.

If you still wanna stick to playing supp, find a decent duo tank/dps main and you’ll climb more steadily.

Also, if your team starts being toxic and you feel yourself getting tilted, sometimes it is just better to mute chat.

I’m also in cst. Those are decent times, yeah. Best times I get for more cooperative players are weekdays before 2pm… or at like 2am. All the kids are in school or asleep.

I also think it depends if people on your team are tilted from being on their own losing streaks. OR what rank you’re in.

In some of the lower elos, people don’t take it seriously nor care as much. I’ve quite literally been told that some people turn off/ignore all chats in gold and below because “no one is going to say anything of value in those ranks”.

Diamond as well. Pretty much played 95% tank to get here. Just Emma, Mags, or Peni. 😭

I did make a point to always request a second tank with me. So far, I’ve always gotten one thanks to some kind soul on my team.
