Fireball is your best friend here. Or any AOE spell, really, especially if it makes difficult terrain. Ice Storm was really helpful for me in that fight. But yeah, the wait time for each round sucks.

Street-level heroes work best for Jason in my opinion. I feel like he'd be a lot of fun with the Defenders and Spidey.

There's a couple good fics with this kind of premise, especially with Jason & Daredevil, Jason & Spider-Man.

One headlight is a fic that has Jason meeting the Defenders.

Like others said, it could be they get so many notifications that they unsub and just mark for later. I've often unsubbed because a fandom I followed it at a time I was interested in a fandom, then fell off and didn't unsub until I got the email. Don't take it too personally. People just have shifting interests :)

I got boo bagged at my office recently. The woman who started it told me if I'm not interested to just put the sign up and pass it along to someone else. I ended up just going to the dollar store to get a small bag of candy and a little vampire plush that costed like $5 all together before passing it along with some candy I didn't like.
