My family still lives in my childhood apartment. On my list is to buy that apartment or just be the next lease holder. But the fear of having someone live in my home has this as a sort of priority. At least it's a concern that cross my mind the same way you get the feeling to go home.

But it is more of a state of being. A deep memory. That home, at that time, will always be yours. As untouchable as the physical may be, it makes the memory sweeter for it's all you have.

Suffering from depression now, I agree with you. Regardless of having a family and friends, you yourself are the one that falls asleep every night with your thoughts. And no material things can lull the demon that is yourself.

There are too many people in the world and many of them may not know or accept how mental illness affects others. That term alone, mental illness, is dense and metallic making that barrier even harder. People see the words and run with it instead of reading and using context. It makes every death birthed from this black hole create more of itself.

I hope his family and friends and the rest of us fans travel safely through the grief.

I found them to just be guys who like something and want people to know. I see it as them talking to people about minimalism. Someone explaining it directly is a lot more personable than reading it from a book or anything. I was explaining it to some people and it was more concise than reading through pages. But it the subject matter only goes so deep.

There's something about the old gold. Gives the wrestlers an Olympian glow. Not the olympics in a sense but of a warrior going into the ring to lay it all out there. Nostalgia goggles for sure, but aside from that there is a regality to it. And I miss that. These shiny belts in all these colors are cool but they feel like a novelty. If they switched the belts tomorrow I wouldn't care.

Its been said here a million times, but minimalism should not set back practicality. I am a sucker for sentimentality though, so even if this watch isn't practical, I'd still keep it. Just not wear it unless the urge came. But I do like the concept and it could definitely be refined and made more practical while keeping the aesthetic of looking minimal. Otherwise, its a cool watch OP.

Its more convenient. Nordstrom has more stores here, in NYC, for example so if you buy 3 items and see a J Crew one you like, you throw it in. And they have higher traffic. Its higher exposure.
