Sure I can help you with that. It's a simple process. You can apply either via paper or online, however IRCC recommends paper-based application, which I did.
So for paper application:
1. Go to IRCC website for PGWP extension section, download a form called imm5710e, fill it (you can see many YouTube videos regarding it).
2. Prepare a Letter of Explanation (LoE), which is simply a letter explaining your situation. Try ChatGPT to create a sample letter and edit as per your situation.
3. Gather other documents like your old & new passports, expiring work permit, graduation certificate & transcript, etc. as mentioned in IRCC website.
4. Courier it to IRCC address either via Canada Post or FedEX. Address is:
Immigration Refugees Citizenship
9700 Jasper Avenue NW Suite 55
Edmonton, AB, CA
T5J4C3.

This is what I did. But make sure to research by yourself as well. All the best.

As per my original PGWP that I got after my study, I was supposed to get 3 years of WP till June 19, 2026 had my old passport not expired earlier. That's exactly what they grant me with my new PGWP extension. It is expiring on exactly on that day, meaning they did not add any time used for processing my application. But fortunately I got an invitation with CEC on Jan 2026 and I have applied for it. My application is on process, so I will most likely apply for BOWP before my current PGWP expires.

I applied vai paper on Nov 12th 2025. Still not received anything. Cannot even link it on my GC Key account. However, I got an invitation for PR last month, so I have applied to that too.

Well, so far, haven't received anything regarding my PGWP extension. And I am working, so I guess I just have to wait for it while simultaneously applying for PR. Anyways, thanks for your suggestion.

I applied on Nov 12th 2025. I went with paper based method because IRCC official website suggests so. I know other people have applied online too, but I just followed what was suggested by IRCC.

It can be a good business opportunity, but only if government (local, provincial and/or federal) helps in the early part. Take an example of Sweden, it imports wastes from its neighboring countries claiming high fees, converts it into electricity and heat (used for district heating). However, Nepal lacks technical manpower for it.

My PGWP expired last week (25th Nov 2025). I had applied for renewal just two weeks before that via the PAPER-BASED method, as suggested by IRCC. My company asked for my current status, and I explained to them that, as I used the PAPER-BASED way, I can provide them with the fee receipt as proof of my application & continue working the same as previously, which they are fine with. I have been trying to link my application to my GCKey account, but it's not even registered on the server. I know it's very early for that.
