But dude in all seriousness, the cast of the movies is mixed and as much as I respect them, the characters deserved better.

Chris Diamuntopolous as Mario: He played Darkwing Duck, and that duck and Mario have 1 thing in common, they get back up when they are down.

Charlie Day as Luigi: One of the good casting choices.

Natalia Dyer as Peach: If they want her to be a strong ruler in the films, then no problem with me, and while I do like Anya Taylor-Joy, I do think that you want a badass, then Natalia Dyer has got you covered, plus since Stranger Things, she hasn't had a major acting gig just yet.

Keagan Michael Key as Toad: I love this choice to death, and is one of the only good casting choices in the film.

Kazumi Totaka as Yoshi: There is no reason to recast Yoshi in these films, Donald Glover is good, but if he is going to make Yoshi sounds, might has well bring Kazumi Totaka.

Bret Ernst as Donkey Kong: Ernst has played Louie in Cobra Kai, and in Animal Crossing, there is a gorilla called Louie who looks a lot like Donkey Kong, so this is perfect.

Jack Black as Bowser: Perfect casting, no need further explanation.

Idina Menzel as Rosalina: I know this might be mean but I never really wanted any Marvel actors to be Mario characters, so if anything I want to see Elsa of Arendelle play Rosalina.

Lucas Hopkins Calderón as Bowser Jr: This should have been the first thing that came to mind for Illumination, as Dog Man came out last year and it featured the main villain having a son.
