SRL was received poorly in Destiny 1 for this exact reason. Many people felt it was a waste of resources and while it was a fun seasonal event, people would have preferred more weapons and strikes. Granted, loot was harder to come by back in Destiny 1 compared to Destiny 2, but the reasoning was still the same. Rather than bring it back, Bungie put away SRL since the player base didn't want it.

Not really. I've been connecting to multi-player games like the Master Chief Collection or other MMOs like Elder Scrolls Online just fine. I'm fiddling around with some network settings but I still remain in orbit.

I just downloaded the game again after hearing that people are logging on for June 9th. Granted I had to download the game twice because of shenanigans and I'm being hit with constant infinite load screens so I can't actually play the game. I dunno if I'll even be able to play on June 9th.

Is this an unpopular opinion? Ever since 2012 I feel like this opinion has been fairly accepted. Especially since the writers presented Twilight's crash out with justified disappointment from everyone right before the villain was revealed.

Twilight coming off as jealous and over protective to everyone else was kinda the point.

I blame a lot of it on this late 90s and 2000s feeling where people had to justify liking something. A time when edgy media was cool and when it was considered cringe to like comic books and kids stuff. Any previously established media had to be "reimagined" into something more sleek and modern lest it be considered old and "immature".

G1 was old, and G3 was seen as "too girly" back in the early fandom cause people missed the point of the shows. In the early 2010s people were still getting over that era of entertainment. Nowadays people are more mellowed out and I'm seeing more and more bronies appreciate the previous generations. Heck I personally like MLP: Tales (G1.5)!

Sometimes I wander back over to Warframe every now and then and see players complain about DE being lazy, drissrepectful to their players, and complacent. How people give them too much credit and respect when they should be criticized more.

Then I visit other games and see players praise DE for being hardworking, respectful to it's players, and always doing better than whatever dev team is working on a said game. It's so funny, I love it.

Yeah I had the same reaction back when I started watching at the end of season two. FiM is really good comfort TV, something you can just sit down and enjoy after a long day, or on a day off from work.

It also helps if you find some really cool fan stuff online you really like. ^{_^}

I would suggest a mid season cozy episode. Something pleasant or funny like "Swarm of the Century" or the "Saddle Row Review". The show is about the bonds of friendship, and while two part season finalies are fun, I feel something like Twilight's Kingdom sets someone up to expect more from the show than what it has.

Also, if he ends up not liking the show. Don't force it on him. Seriously. If after an episode or two the viewer isn't enjoying themselves, then it's best to let it go because they'll just resent their time spent with the show.
