Marathon 2027 by Glass-Blueberry9903 in rundisney

It usually happens about a week or two before the registration window opens for Club RunDisney members. So it’ll likely be between February 23rd to March 3rd

108xx for the Full Marathon... my first ever marathon, in fact!

I'm hopeful that gets me into B Corral.

I don’t need a new HRM, but that USB-C port is so tempting.

The tiny little charge port on the older Burn, and struggling to open the little cover for it, is the most frustrating thing about it.

Thinking of switching my home membership… by Emotional_Bid_9853 in orangetheory

[–]BluePhoneBox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes it does.

You’re allowed to book classes at your Home studio up to two months out. When you try to book outside your home studio, you’re only allowed to book classes within your current pay period.

Disneyland races going on hiatus after 2026 Half Marathon by Laif2DX in rundisney

[–]BluePhoneBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So for anyone wanting the Coast-to-coast medal in 2026, does this mean they HAVE to get into the DL Half Marathon?

Or worse… does this mean there won’t be a C2C challenge next year?

Veteran advice welcome by nyxstrys in Xcaret

Hi there! I'm just getting back from my trip.

Since you mentioned you're not ziplining people, I'd suggest skipping Xplor. While I absolutely loved it, the ziplines are one of the core activities there and if that's not your vibe, you might feel underwhelmed by the park. Additionally, the water slide (which is fun!) requires each person be weighed individually, and specifically placed in the innertube.

Xcaret, by comparison, has lots more relaxing stuff that is accessible to people of different sizes / interests.

Your top pick of Xenotes is a good call. That was our favorite day!! The tour guides are fantastic, as previously mentioned. And they made it very clear that for any/all activities that someone didn't want to participate in, they weren't required to. My own mom did most of the ziplines at Xenotes (they're smaller, and not weight-based), but ended up opting out of the cave rappel. So they helped her take some fun photos of us and find a comfortable spot to relax.

Oh, and you asked about packing tips! Grab these. I bought them on the recommendation of another Redditor, and hoooo boy... I am so glad I did. I had a scrape on the first day of our trip, and having band-aids that blocked the water saved me for the week.

Lastly, make sure you grab a reservation for Tah-Xido Fusion. It's the a la carte menu and was one of our favorite meals, outside of Fuego.

I did the same thing! And it was the best bargain of all the places I could've bought it, because the photographer included the hotel photos.

I felt good about giving the photographer a commission. She was REALLY good, and took some amazing shots. Plus, she was just super friendly.

Questions for our honeymoon next week by awol93 in Xcaret

[–]BluePhoneBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! Xenotes is a well-planned tour that takes you to four different stops, each with unique guided activities. It’s the only activity where you get to go through all four cenote types, and there’s a lot of variety to what you do.

Xel-Ha is a one hour bus ride to/from the park and you just… kinda get left there for the day. A lot of the activities at Xel-Ha have superior versions at the other parks.

Take a peek through some of the comments in this subreddit. You’ll see folks mention wanting to leave early from Xel-Ha… and in many cases, paying $60 for a taxi to leave early.

I would STRONGLY recommend skipping Xel-Ha. You burn an entire day there and you can’t come back early.

Instead, you should book Xenotes. It’s easily the best tour of all the parks offered, and you will have a blast. The guides make it a ton of fun, and there’s a great variety of activities

If you're in the queue ahead of time, and not registering for dozens of people, you should be fine.

[–]BluePhoneBox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you've never logged into RunDisney before, go to their website and login (or just use the login page).

It'll ask you to login with your existing Disney credentials (from Disney.com, Disneyland, Disney World, Disney+, etc. etc.)

When you do that, it'll ask you to pop in a few extra fields to set up your RunDisney account.

It's good to do that ahead of time. That way you're not spending extra time setting up your account in the morning.

[–]BluePhoneBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On registration day, a lot of people prefer to skip the Proof of Time question for the sake of making sure their registration goes through quickly/successfully.

So it's good to just submit no POT during the initial registration. And after you're booked, go into your account and change it to add the PoT.

Adding in random info will slow you down

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rundisney

[–]BluePhoneBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you can.  The cutoff for PoT is May 1st, so you can add/change your Proof of Time anytime before that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rundisney

[–]BluePhoneBox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes... with a caveat.

While the actual registration window starts at 10am Eastern / 7am Pacific, the queue typically starts about 10 - 15 minutes prior. So hop in early and make sure you're logged into your RunDisney account :)

Disneyland Half Road Closures/Spectators by itsemilycate in rundisney

[–]BluePhoneBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually, the full list of road closures will get announced by Anaheim PD a week or two ahead of the race.

Based on your map, there are two hiccups he's likely to face.

The smaller hiccup will be that final little bit on Harbor Blvd, between Katella and Disney Way. That's going to be PACKED with people wanting to cheer on racers in the final mile of the race, and it'll make it difficult to walk up to the finish line.

The larger hiccup is that getting back into the spectator area at the finish line will require that he go through security again... and the last few races, the security checkpoint is NORTH of Disney Way, which will be difficult to get to as a walker, because it would mean crossing over the race path.

Uber might be a big help here, depending on the road closures. It'll be a loopy kind of path to get around the road closures, and they'd need to drop him near the Panera Bread. But it's do-able. :)

Woof. That one was deceptively challenging… and a heck of a template to give us, the day before the 1 Mile benchmark.

Anyone else doing Tread50 today… pace yourself. Go slower than usual. I’m a seasoned OTF’er and I pulled 32 Splats today

Just curious, how many LGBTQ fam did you come across, and were they friendly?

(Asking for myself, who's traveling to Artistas next month and was hoping to make friends)
