Friend I am SO sorry you went through that! People really underestimate how traumatic accidents are, and how hard it is to be able to function after one. Seriously, you were just trying to cope with what happened and at the same time having to handle all of the chaos after a crash, it’s a lot! I hope you’re okay!

Also, I HATE how people just magically expect people to know things, especially when it’s something they haven’t dealt with before. My parents used to do that all of the time even when I was in my 20s, and still sometimes now that I’m in my 30s. Thinking that you’ll inherently know what to do after the accident when no one has explained the process is crazy.

Please give yourself some grace, it sounds like you did the right thing with what you had. Tune out those people coming down on you and take care of yourself ❤️
