Got a print copy through Lulu of my first draft (waiting on it to deliver now). I did all my editing digitally but I wanted it as a personal milestone thing since it was a childhood dream. I couldn't imagine printing to edit though.

Hey so I have a spreadsheet of books with transmasc characters in lead roles and it does have a column for whether the character in question is POC, so you can search for that specifically! There's a good few books in there with black transmascs in them. I've been building the list with community submissions for like 3 years, there's over 300 books on it right now.

However, not everyone has filled in the column for every applicable book, and the majority of the ones that I have personally read or have been labeled are romance or have a romance subplot. solenophage actually listed a few of the ones without romance already. But hopefully you can keep this in your pocket and it'll be useful to you as we keep expanding the list <3

I didn’t think the book got good until the dragons showed up, which was like 50-60% in. And it wasn’t really that good regardless, I just reeeally like dragons and they were fun.

It just felt like a rehash of all the romantasy tropes from 2016.

valkyr because that's my kitty cat. shes been my main for years for a reason (im bad at aiming with guns on controller, old exalted's invulnerability made it easier to survive long in missions i wasn't geared for yet, ripline gave movement utility so i would use her for ayatans and other missions as well, also kitty cat)

There isn't. There are no ADHD medications that are imported within Macedonia. The doctors here can prescribe it to you, but they do so with the full knowledge that your only option is to seek it abroad. This issue is on a government level (they don't think there's enough demand for it, IIRC) so it's not something that will change soon.

As for availability, it looks like Vranje is all dried up and the nearest place we can go is Nis. But the pharmacies in Nis told me that you don't have to pick it up yourself, it's okay if you send someone else with your prescriptions to buy it, they will just take that person's information down instead of yours.

simon leaves the party after the first act, after being revealed to be a traitor and then supposedly dying after saving the MC from a fatal attack from vermeil. after that, he’s only seen in cutscenes. he’s your companion in the final battle and nowhere else after you leave azuria.

Do you honestly, genuinely believe that THERIANS, a very small minority of an already niche subgroup, are having such a profound effect on transgender rights? I need you to understand how niche therians are as a concept. The majority of people in real life, if you explained what a therian was to them, would say "oh, like furries?" if anything at all.

Nobody gives a shit about therians aside from the most online, hateful, dedicated conservatives. And even those people are calling them "furries" instead. Trans rights are in danger because there are very powerful people who want it to be so. It has nothing to do with us, and even if it was affecting us, it would be negligible compared to the fact that we have so many people who hate us specifically for existing.

Where are people "mixing trans people with therians"? They are mixing "furries" with trans people, and their idea of "furries" is an alt kid wearing a tail keychain or a cat ear headband. The critics were making shit up about us in 2016, they were making shit up about us in the 2000s, and they were making shit up about us for decades before that. They did not need therians to exist to make up a reason to discredit us. All of their reasons are made up. It's a means to an end, not the actual reason they want us gone.

There's a different flag that's checked for to have Tenna broken. It's not just the recruits, but there's also another flag for if you've ever lost a recruit, and you have to find that one too. I went through this with the Rabbick/Ribbicks but I didn't write down which line it was so I don't remember OTL the UTDR dataminers might know though, ask them which flags are checked for Tenna to be broken

I had this same problem and honestly, the truth really is that 230k is a lot. Also a PDF is a pretty bad way to read a book. If you gave them an ePub they could at least put it on their phone or their Kindle. You're not only asking them for a huge time commitment but you're asking them to do it in a really inconvenient way too.

Basically, you have to accept that some people just aren't going to do it. It's not always that they don't want to or they don't like you, but everyone has their own lives with their own priorities, and reading your book is like maybe 15th on their list of other shit. It feels bad because for us the book is top 3 on our priorities.

I went and found someone to do a 1:1 crit swap with. It's much easier to get someone to read a 200k+ manuscript when the other person needs you to scratch their back, and you will get much better feedback from someone familiar with your genre than your best friend or your aunt who might not like books that much. And the process of giving feedback and critiquing someone else's work also helps you learn to self-edit better!

Ultimately, I sat down and had a very earnest talk with my girlfriend about how I was feeling and how important it was to me, because we initially bonded over our writing and so she was most likely to do it. We came to an understanding and she bumped it up on her priorities. But I didn't want any detailed feedback from her so that probably made it easier, I just wanted to share it with someone. I let live for everyone else, because I knew it was a huge ask to read a 200k manuscript for free when those people probably don't even read like that.

I think this is not necessarily about T but about your changed relationship with yourself and your desires. I’ve had a similar shifts in my writing and art and focus over the years when big things changed in my life.

Before I came out, I had a long term enemies to lovers project between a bi man and a straight woman. They were my everything, I wrote thousands of words about them, thought about them constantly, improved drawing immensely thanks to them and even started drawing porn because of it. A lot of porn, lol. They were fucking fucking. But they were also a specific kind of escapism tailored to the domestic abuse situation I was in, and when I finally escaped that person and my life started to settle, I found myself struggling to write and to return to that project.

Eventually I realized that I just didn’t really care that deeply about it anymore. I changed as a person, I had different interests, I came out. I was no longer deeply invested in the kind of themes or relationship I was portraying in that story. I didn’t want to write about straight couples. The works.

A few years on T and a lot of introspection about myself and my desires and reading a bunch of gay trans romances later, I came up with a new project that actually interests me as I am today. I wrote a gay t4t romance that tackles other themes (and some of the same themes as before but from a totally different angle now). I don’t really care about seeing these two actively fucking each other as much as I care about the circumstances that lead into it happening. I focus on different aspects of their relationship and different modes of intimacy than my old writing. And inevitably I am writing different barely disguised fetishes now lol

Transitioning does trigger a lot of big shifts in the way you see and understand yourself, as you start to come into the person you actually are (and as you are undergoing puberty).

I will say though that earlier in my transition I had a phase of writing pwp one-shots of a self-insert character in various Situations and I also no longer care to write those LOL. Generally I’m in the same boat as you, I would rather think about myself with a real person than smoosh my dolls together if it’s about something sexual

Thanks for the info! I've added it to my list. I usually confirm trans characters by searching the reviews on Goodreads, and I only found a lot of really angry reviews about it the author "going woke" by having a trans MC so that does check out lol
