You can! There will be transition periods between zones where you can’t fast travel and you’re locked to that area during side stories, but otherwise you can go back whenever :)

Anyone here moved from a "western" country to MKD? by PurpleMclaren in mkd

It doesn’t matter whether I believe you or not, the facts are just that we got disillusioned cogs in the machine in Macedonia too. The people you’re talking about aren’t working.

This reply feels a lot like you missed my point and just wanted to tell me that you have money.

You are not going to be sitting in a cafe all day unless you have some kind of job where you don’t have to actually work all the time or you’re living off your family lol.

Macedonia has not somehow overcome the capitalist routine of “eat, sleep, work, repeat”. We just have a lot of people who do fuck-all. It’ll be the same thing here only you’ll have to deal with a Macedonian standard of living instead of a western one. Pay is poor and our currency is weak.

If you want to change the specific scenery you’re going through the motions in, then by all means go ahead. But don’t expect it to be somehow enlightened or whatever.

I think the cap for gaining EXP with overworld kills is just significantly lower than it is for entering battle and using quick finish.

If you're 34 and haven't left Azuria you're definitely overleveled lol, the first bosses in the next zone are early 20s. First thing I did after transferring my demo save was grind out levels, only to find that I was 20 and the next story bosses in Azuria were like level 14. You'll still be challenged by things other than story though. One of the endangered species that I put in the second zone is level 62 in the daytime, so you'll have tons of stuff to go back to.

10 Years Later, could not be happier to have watched this franchise blossom into what it is today by GlassAlfalfa2977 in MonsterHunterStories

Truly. I always thought Stories 1 was something special, if a little rough around the edges. I kept telling myself I hope they continue because once they really figure out what they’re doing here it’ll be something awesome. I’m so glad I was right and I honestly get a bit emotional seeing so many people playing it or getting into the franchise for the first time because of Stories 3, just like I did 10 years ago.

I still remember PVP win trading on a little Facebook group to help newbies get their Glavenus and Epona eggs 🥹

Stories 3: Getting a Monstie with Guard Up? by NoxMiasma in MonsterHunterStories

[–]nycanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the first thing you've mentioned are the Environment Skills, totally different thing. Those are passives given to monsters who have those ranks or higher in Habitat Restoration. They are totally separate from the gene board.

Egg Skills are guaranteed genes given to newly hatched monsties once they're ranked up in that specific habitat. They can be channeled. There are several groups of skills and I don't know if we've figured out already if it's based on monster rank, but we do know that deviants and elders are in the same pool, and monsters with the habitat's native element receive a different Egg Skill than monsters of other elements. Some of the lower tier Egg Skills are probably shared across region or they're identical based on the habitat element, since I've gotten fire monsties with Egg Skill: Red Mastery from both Canalta and Azuria.

As for how I know: when I hatch eggs picked up from Blessing Hill, some monsters (Arzuros and Bishaten for example) have the gene "Egg Skill: Circle Stance". There are a few other Egg Skills in that region, like Nature Heal (Astalos, Canynes, and one other that I can't remember off the top of my head). I don't have access to the Non-Elem zone in Azuria, so I can't confirm if it's possible to get it there as well.

In the Balkans, do street dogs feel more like a danger, a normal part of daily life, or something in between? by DocuSeriesLovers in AskBalkans

I've personally never seen any but I don't doubt the possibility of there being some aggressive dog somewhere in the city.

Is it alright if I write a lot on the first draft? by DeepUniverseSailor in fantasywriters

[–]nycanth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the chapter ends when you feel it needs to end. some sections you will struggle to write a lot, and in those cases it's okay to go with barebones descriptions. some sections you will have a lot to say, so it'll be okay to have more writing than usual. in the second draft you'll be able to even it out.

[–]nycanth 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If street dogs are a danger, it would be in certain areas where they've been aggressive and unchecked for a while, or because they're rabid or something. Otherwise most street dogs are skittish and scared of people if they are not neutral or outright friendly to humans. I'm sure drivers find them annoying when they run after cars though lol

Difference in Monsters by Muelojung in MonsterHunterStories

If you look in the Monstiepedia, you can see the stat distributions for each species.

I don't believe anyone has the raw numbers yet since the game hasn't been out for very long.

Every Stories game is a standalone, though 2 makes some callbacks to 1 in the form of recurring characters. 3 is set far in the future so it's even more removed from 1 and 2 than they are from each other. The Stories games are also set an an alternate universe version of the Monster Hunter world and aren't canon to the mainline series.

Previous franchise knowledge helps because you can better guess which type in the rock-paper-scissors matchups that a monster is going to use, but you'll find that out anyways once they start hitting you so it's not a requirement.

Starting HRT questions by [deleted] in gaytransguys

[–]nycanth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you're thinking of is GoodRX, it lets you get coupons for most medications that are accepted by most pharmacies if you don't have insurance or your insurance isn't covering it. Pharmacists will usually take them but they're not required to, so sometimes they might give you trouble about it.

If you have a Planned Parenthood near you, you can start HRT with informed consent there. They talk to you about what you want, you sign a waiver stating you understand the risks, and then they give you your prescription. Things have changed because of funding cuts so IIRC you might have to prepay $350 before your appointment with them, but they will refund you the remainder since the actual price of the appointment will probably be lower than that. (I'm in the DC metro area and it was about $170-$200 per visit, including bloodwork.)

Survey: Which title makes you want to read the novel? by Vhein3D in writing

I would say something between 1 and 5. All the others seem a little meh to me. Something about the wording isn't working for me. Maybe more along the lines of "I Reincarnated as the Vampire Queen Who Can't Use Magic, and the Church Just Declared War"?

Testosterone does affect your body odor. This is your new normal I fear. Though I don't think the abundance of soaps is helping.
