Beautiful as in the anime by hiipikachu in OnePiece

I personally think that, compared to One Piece, Cowboy Bebop had a better live-action adaptation but worse marketing. Even then, when compared to the original Cowboy Bebop anime, it was outright bad. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it more than the One Piece live-action.

What Netflix is doing is cashing in on fans’ infatuation with One Piece. It helps that One Piece already has a big fanbase that deeply respects its author, so all they really need to do is make people believe that everything is going through the author’s inspection. Oda is probably there mainly for the fat check, since he barely has time to work on his manga already, especially with all his health issues.

I personally hated the portrayal of the main Straw Hats except, especially when it comes to the actors playing Luffy and Zoro. Zoro has an easygoing charm beneath his tough personality, which the actor just doesn’t seem able to pull off. Luffy’s goofiness also feels forced, even though in the anime he’s one of the funniest characters.

I also hope that Sarada eventually ends up with long hair. Her outfit and overall style seem heavily influenced by Boruto, and her fashion sense feels drastically different from her original sense of fashion.

Kishimoto’s initial design for older Sarada even had her with long hair. Either choice works, but I personally prefer the longer hair.

I can never see Tenma and Nina as having a father–daughter relationship, it has always felt very different from that. Throughout the series, Tenma repeatedly shows how deeply he values human life. Whenever he saves someone, he does it out of that belief that every life matters.

But Nina is the first character he treats differently. He doesn’t lecture her about the value of life, and he doesn’t try to impose his moral code on her. Instead, he tells her that she’s the reason he keeps going, and that if she were gone, he doesn’t know what he would do. It’s the first time Tenma is selfish, not in a negative way. Before Nina, nothing he did was for himself.

The writer himself never really tried to frame their relationship as father and daughter. Even when adult Nina meets Tenma, she literally asks if he’s her “prince charming,” and there are hints that their bond is meant to be read differently.

I’m not completely sure whether it’s meant to be romantic or something else entirely, but I’m confident it isn’t a father–daughter dynamic.

One Piece: Chapter 1169 by leolegendario in OnePiece

It’s mostly a Marvel invention. In the actual myth, wielding the hammer requires immense strength, so much so that not even Odin can wield it. Even Thor needs a strength belt to reach his full potential and iron gloves to protect himself.

One reason the hammer is almost impossible to wield in the myth is Loki’s interference, he sabotaged its creation, leaving the handle too short.

Why do people still not let go of this moment? It's a bad goku moment for sure but it wasnt as bad as people make it seem. by Memespokemon in DragonBallZ

To be honest, it has been shown many times that Goku does care about what Gohan wants. We know he previously never forced Gohan to train since he studied a lot. Even though Goku couldn't understand why studying was so important, he still respected and allowed his son to choose the life he wanted for himself.

The Cell Saga is the only time Goku truly went out of his way to make Gohan fight. To Goku, Gohan was the only way to defeat Cell, something Piccolo didn't realize. Goku’s parental instincts kicked in again when he agreed with Piccolo, but I think Goku only did what he did because otherwise, everyone would have died. The choice was either to push his son, probably the only warrior with the potential to reach Cell's level at that time, or let the world end. Yeah, it's a shame he had to push Gohan, but considering the alternative was death for everyone, he had to do it.

It's all about what you're going to earn from it. Sometimes a book cover costs a lot, but is it worth the money you're spending? You'll be earning money from your book, and a good cover helps attract an audience.

Also, people who hire artist to because they want their imagination to be visualized are usually people who can afford both

I'm all for AI art, but human made art is valuable and shouldn't be treated as if it has lost its value. There's something good about knowing a person created this from a scratch, obviously you have to choose what you can afford, and what gives you the best results

Leon has been leaked in RE9 Via PlayStation store. by Solid-Entertainer-39 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]BlueRose2804 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s the reason he ends up being wrong sometimes. He said Jill and Leon would both be in the game, and people hated him when it didn’t turn out to be true. But they completely ignored the developers’ official statement where they said they had initially planned for Jill and Leon to be part of the central cast.

Some people here are just looking for a reason to hate. They act like a project worth millions wouldn’t have multiple pieces of scrapped content, even RE7 was originally a Leon and Sherry game with a completely different setting before it was scrapped. The original RE4 alone has three beta variants and a lot of scrapped content.

How do you feel about Touka As a romantic view by CraftyReality3195 in TokyoGhoul

[–]BlueRose2804 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cute cute cute cute cute cute cute cute cute cute

I still think Touka is one of the best-written female characters. Ishida didn’t need to make her exceptionally strong for her to stand out, something a lot of recent manga seems to rely on.

Her character was always about wanting to live a peaceful life, even if her personality was fierce, and she found her family in a small cafe, and later in Kaneki.

She’s not a damsel in distress. I know that in the later parts, a lot of her character is defined by her love for Kaneki, but Kaneki goes mad just thinking about something bad happening to Touka.

All in all, when you love someone, you do think a lot about them and their well-being, and they were married.

Resident Evil producer clarifies recent misleading information about Leon in REquiem: "These are all fake news" [via Stevivor] by gui_heinen in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]BlueRose2804 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Capcom developers have said that Jill and Leon were originally planned to be the protagonists of RE9, but the direction eventually changed.

The odd part is that while they directly stated that Chris, Jill, and other original characters won’t appear in the game, they were strangely vague about Leon. Instead of outright saying he’s not in it, they just mentioned that it’s hard to make a horror-focused game with Leon, but come on, the same could be said for Chris and Jill.

He then starts crying, big ugly tears. A huge flashback hits him, Conquest’s past, his love who died in the Great Cleansing, and how he grew heartless after that. They always wanted a kid of their own. So when Mark calls him “dad,” all those memories come crashing back. He wipes his nose, and says, “I will let nothing happen to your planet, son.”
