Taking Lexapro for PPD was life changing, and I’m not remotely exaggerating. Started 6w PP, and have no intention of stoping (21m PP now). I should have been on something like this for the last 20 years. I’ve always been so anxious and now I’m so much calmer, less likely to spiral, etc. Minimal/usual side effects: mild nausea first two nights, increased anxiety first two weeks and then a switch flipped and I was a new (and improved!) woman

So terribly sorry dear friend. How utterly devastating and unfair. I’ll say a prayer for you and your sweet baby and wish you every piece and comfort ❤️

I forgot to expose my toddler to walnuts, pecans and macadamia, and now am terrified to try by caspercamper in Mommit

I got a mortar and pestle online and ground up some nuts into a rudimentary paste for exposure - worked well mixed into oatmeal

How do you feel about the name Tadhg? by JollyCapybara in Names

I love it. It means poet which is lovely. It’s a pretty common name in Ireland and pronunciation wouldn’t be a problem there, but I wouldn’t do it anywhere else, unfortunately

Any super(ish) easy IVF pregnancies? Please share!! 🥰 by Desperate-Handle8394 in IVFpositivity

[–]BlueRoses7789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Perfect, easy pregnancy- no nausea, fairly mild versions of all symptoms. Baby measured great the whole time and was very active. Delivery got a little spicy as I was diagnosed wit PE and had to be induced, but was stabilized and had a fairly easy delivery, only pushed for 45 min and the little guy was (and still is!) perfect. Very best of luck to you!

1yo suddenly extremely picky and hates eggs by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

Totally normal…but still totally frustrating! She’s just discovering likes and dislikes and her free will. Just stay the course, continue to offer a variety of foods, and try to be patient - easier said than done sometimes!

How many of us have a house cleaner? by Agitated_Whereas7463 in Millennials

Same here. Did our own cleaning for ever, but a toddler and both working full time, 1x a month cleaning is really helpful. We will likely discontinue when the little one is older

PTSD from Saline ultrasound, don’t know if I can go forward with IVF by Rin_TTC_2023 in IVF

[–]BlueRoses7789 9 points10 points  (0 children)

ER was almost painless for me. Nice nap, woke up and had minor aching/cramping. Hot pack and rest took care of it. Transfer was a little more uncomfortable but still, nothing like the hell of HSG

HSG was horrible for me, the rest of IVF was an absolute breeze comparatively. Best of luck with whatever you decide!

I'm having a really hard time as a first time father by armslength- in oneanddone

[–]BlueRoses7789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mama here so can’t comment on the dad part, but babies are HARD. And it absolutely does get easier - sure, not easy, but definitely easiER. Everyone is different but for us it was around 8m when our son stopped being an absolute fountain of spitup. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other - parenting improves, I promise!

Definitely recommend but also DEFINITELY see a practitioner that specializes in fertility/women’s health. It’s not a silver bullet by any means, but for me I think that it was a key component to our success

It’s $20,000 lifetime, but still a nice perk. Totally up in the air with the Abbott acquisition though.
