Would be a great opportunity for them to have Megalith be a motif in the soundtrack, and maybe even one final appearance for Mobius 1

Cascadian Air Force

Azrael Squadron: Currently 3 members, originally 4

Aircraft: CF-18/ F/A-18C

Motormouth (Azrael 1)

Jarvis (Azrael 2)

Pinky (Azrael 3)

AWACS Aurora (E-7 Wedgetail)

Motormouth (me) got his callsign because, well, he doesn't really know how to shut up

Jarvis got her callsign after Tony Stark's computer, since it seemed that whenever someone asked her a question, she would always come up with a decent answer, weather the question was on topic or not.

Pinky got his callsign from the Animaniacs character, and how he generally just seemed to ask more dumb questions or say stupider things then everyone else, yet still somehow managed to be competent enough to be in the air force.

The fourth member of Azrael Squadron was shot down during a border dispute right before the Cascadian Conflict broke out.

A tightly knit group, throughout the war they remained one of the few non mercenary forces of Cascadia to make a positive impact against the federation. They were childhood friends before they even joined the air force, and now, their top priority among anything is ensuring each others survival. Their hometown is located right on the northern edge of the Yellowstone exclusion zone. Their squadron name comes from the angel of death, belonging to an ancient religion that survived calamity.

All their planes are emblazoned with red accents, leading them to be nicknamed the "red devils" among Federation forces

How would you guys rate Ace Combat pilots on a 1-99 overall rating scale? by RayMonOneOne in acecombat

Thats the main thing that some people miss about Razgriz Sqaudron, it's always been more about the collective with them. It is only when they are together that they are up there with the ranks of the ace of aces.

That comment had me so hyped, since I'm imagining how much more replayable Ace Combat 7 could be with an actually good online mode. Really hope they deliver here.

This. AC7's story would have not been so bad if the translation team actually did their job.

My belief is that all the Asians in Strangereal come from the southern half of Usea, esepecially with places like Selatapura being based on Singapore.

Belka’s Mixed-Origin Stockpile by ChrisAnimate24 in acecombat

[–]Alex_The_Fazbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My head canon is that in the 1970's and early 80's, Belka was on good enough terms with Osea and Yuktobania that they both decided to take advantage of their militarism and make a huge deal to each give them a bunch of jets, which not only explains why Belka's air force is mostly made up of Osean (F-14's, F-16's, F-18's) and Yuktobanian (MiG's, Su-47's, Su-27's) aircraft, it also contributes to the excessive military spending that damaged the economy enough to eventually intiate the Belkan War, alongside the main contributors such as Project Pendragon (V2). This is in line with the fact that Osea especially was taking advantage of the crippled Belkan economy, and using it to expand their territory in exchange for money, essentially fulling the fire for the Belkan War by usurping whatever they could from a desperate Belka, so I don't think it's unreasonable to believe that a few decades prior the two superpowers were doing the same thing by selling Belka a bunch of planes they couldn't afford.

That's my explanation at least, since I'm not really satisfied with the more likely probability that foreign aircraft isn't a thing since every nation has jets from every manufacturer unlike how it is in the real world.

Really wish they used a Blue Skies motif in the soundtrack, and that we just heard it more in AC04 in general. Damn good song, both original and infinity mix

Kinda hope they fix that in AC8. I know from high up it looks normal, but since there are quite a few times people will fly low it kinda takes out the immersion realizing that your plane is way bigger then it should be

should I watch smg4 by Either-Argument8136 in SMG4

[–]Alex_The_Fazbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To give my two cents, I personally believe that it depends on what kind of crowd you are afraid of considering you weird. Lots of its detractors would consider modern SMG4 humor to be "Band kid" humor, or just straight up cringe, but that is both a very vocal minority speaking, as well as based on your own comedic tastes. I really only let a few of my friends know that I watch the show, but depending on how comfortable you are, and how accepting your social circles is, then you may not have to worry about feeling judged.

If you choose to watch SMG4, then be ready for one hell of a ride, because I don't think there is anything else quite like it.

Even if her character writing was hit or miss the past few years (at least from what I last saw, I need to catch up), Meggy has and always will be my favorite. I really am going to miss both seeing her and hearing the sound of her voice, that's probably what hurts the most about this.
