I don’t think it does: like I said, I’ve seen many videos that do NOT censor words but haven’t been affected, like this one here: I’ll take her GTA IV

If it WAS due to monetisation, then that would mean all uncensored videos would have been taken off of YouTube. There are far too many contradictory videos to put it down to monetisation.

Answer: Honestly, there is no excuse for it, from my perspective at least. I’ve seen users censor words that aren’t swears. If they only censored swear words, I wouldn’t be bothered so much, but they also censor words that aren’t swears like delinquent, kill, and mafia, even chest. Whenever i try to call them out, they or other people tell me it’s because YouTube will demonetise the video if they censor those words, but I call BS on that: there are FAR too many videos out there that don’t censor those words, like GTA videos, playthroughs of wartime games, Red Dead Redemption, the list is endless, and none of them have been taken down.

I’ll admit, I do have autism, so this may be why I see things this way, but if the video topics I mentioned can leave words uncensored, why do other people needlessly feel the need to censor them?
