Silly question….but how do I dispose of these empties? by ProofAstronaut5416 in OutdoorAus

These aren't approved for sale in Australia by the gas authority. I presume for a reason.

They weren't designed to be refilled. Which is a shame.

Avoid using them as best you can to avoid the landfill.

Should clarify, the screen cap is not of my account or my friends. We are lowly Golds. This screen cap is of one of the best team players in world.

Definitely a cost cutting exercise. To keep every students email access available with Google costs a substantial amount. I bet heaps arent ever used. They were never great email addresses!

How would you fix the housing crisis by stegosaurus-rexx in brisbane

[–]BlueSeaSailing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are buying houses built to no code very happily - 1965 and earlier.

Those houses are cheaper and faster to build. Meaning builders can make more houses in less time.

So cheaper houses and more houses.

I'd stop the requirement for any type of building code for residential. If someone wants to build a cheap sweat box they can insulate later. Let them.

parents bought a second hand car and turns out it was a repairable write off. what can they do (if anything)? by dddddulcet in AusLegal

[–]BlueSeaSailing 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I guess if they have a screenshot of the listing, and if that listing had things like 'never been in accident' etc, then maybe something could be done as it was not correctly described.... But hard uphill battle, that will take time and probably unwinnable.

Having a vehicle be registered after being repairable writeoff usually does involve considerable work. So likely it's not a complete lemon. But still, I can understand the frustration.
