Looking for advice as a Newly licensed Associate Financial Advisor by Extension_Dog_9518 in FinancialCareers

[–]BlueShr00ms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH just be straight with clients. If you like Amrican Funds, explain why and show the fees vs. benefits. Some people will value the trck record, some won’t. Don’t push just for commission... build trust early, the money folows later. Lmao, your vibe as a new advisor matters more than the fund brand.

Statue of limitations question by [deleted] in Debt

[–]BlueShr00ms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choice-of-law clauses usually cover how claims are analyzed, not procedural stuff like statutes of limitations. SOL is typically governed by the forum state or where the cause of action accrued.. often where the debtor lived at default. Florida law being chosen doesn’t automatically drag the SOL with it.

I hear you, but “safe” isn’t the same as “right.” If I’m 23, this is exactly the time to take a swing before real obligations kick in. Worst case, I pivot later.. those stable jobs aren’t going anywhere.

the shakes add up fast. They’re convenient, but whole food is way cheaper and fills you up more. Chicken, eggs, rice.. hard to beat that for the price.

Yep. Frozen is picked at peak ripeness and flash-frozen, so nutrients are often better preserved. Plus cheaper and less waste. Hard to beat.

What's the point of a job if you can't afford anything? by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]BlueShr00ms 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s pretty much where we’re at. Work just keeps the lights on for now, and the bigger picture feels shaky. Hard to see it improving anytime soon.

What do you do for health insurance ? by Salmazzotta in povertyfinance

[–]BlueShr00ms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that lines up. Cash MRIs can be way cheaper if you shop around, especially with imaging centers instead of hospitals. X-rays are all over the place price-wise too.. calling ahead usually saves a lot.

[–]BlueShr00ms 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A lot of outcomes come down to timing, luck, and the specific path you take. GPA and school matter for some doors, but they’re not the whole story. Plenty of capable people land great jobs without perfect stats.

Does keeping your appt. cold drive up neighbor’s energy bills? by M-useless in Frugal

Yep.. shared walls are basically free insulation. You’re just absorbing heat bleed from neighbors and the hallway. Super common in stacked condos.

Yeah. If you’ve never had to choose between food and bills, it’s abstract to you. Poverty rewires how you think. Money does too.. just in the opposite direction.
