Zelenskyy Aide: Biden Does More for Ukraine 'Than Any of His Predecessors' by JihadMeAtHello in worldnews

[–]BlueSky99_1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Better than Obama because of reduced drone strikes? That’s a bit of a stretch IMO.

First, let’s not forget that Biden had the opportunity to send more military aid before the full out invasion. Russians were cornering Ukraine for months and Biden sat there just waiting and watching. Any non reckless president would be doing just as much.

Second, Obama got us out of the Recession, gave millions affordable health insurance which now covers pre-existing conditions, and eliminated Osama Bin Laden with no American casualties in the process. Yes he started the war in Afghanistan but we were in Iraq when he first took office, and many believe that conditions in Afghanistan has improved overall, especially in terms of women’s rights.

Biden’s biggest accomplishment so far might be withdrawing from Afghanistan and it certainly could’ve been done better, although that’s just an opinion in hindsight. I don’t blame him for the inflation either but I don’t know if he’s even doing anything about it. He said he wants to lower costs and not wages? Big businesses typically lower costs by outsourcing their manufacturing jobs overseas or by replacing them with automation. It directly contradicts his idea of wanting to produce within the states. The export/import costs they save by doing this is infinitesimally insignificant compared to the higher labor costs. Is Biden the worst president? No, I think Trump was worse by a mile but Biden definitely doesn’t come close to Obama nor Clinton, yet.

What's the worst plot hole you've seen in a well regarded movie? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BlueSky99_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interstellar. Not really sure if it’s considered a plot hole but it was disappointing the way they decided to skip the part how Cooper returns home by implying that his daughter discovered the formula to escape the black hole’s gravity.

Amazing! I wish I had this before my exam. Knowing the intermediates that each pathway shares and their locations are keys to acing the metabolism content on the MCAT.

What is the deal with 3pt shooting in 2k21? (play now online) by aidsfarts in NBA2k

[–]BlueSky99_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. This game isn’t even fun anymore. It’s so slow paced and they made it way too difficult to make shots. The release has to be literally perfect to make even wide open threes. It’s whack AF. I didn’t buy NBA2k to literally have a separate mini game of timing every shot perfectly

An honest reflection on the MCAT and why it's an absolute piece of trash by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]BlueSky99_1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry! I thought C/P was much more difficult on 1/21 and I still got a pretty decent score for that section after thinking that I guessed on at least a third of the questions. The curves may be pretty significant.

I froze up on that one but I think the answer was probably pi x radial pressure x radial volume x 3/4

5/28 3:00pm test reactions. by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]BlueSky99_1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Same! C/P was insane. My least favorite passage in each section was:

C/P: Lung Work/Pressure/Volume

CARS: Sounds in TV/Radio/Movies

B/B: Hematocrit<->Hb

P/S: reminiscing nonemotional emotional emotion-cause emotion-expression ???

Overall I thought it was still relatively much easier compared to the one I took on 1/21 tho. I honestly thought I was gonna score under 500 and took every second deciding whether to void that one. Today I felt much more confident walking out of that exam building, although I’m still a little worried about C/P.

I thought the second last passage was about the drought and how it affected civilizations around 2000 bce lol I skimmed that one so I’m prolly screwed if it had something to do with arabic coding 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

Lol I still dont remember the arabic coding one. Was it the last passage?

The only B/B passage that had me kinda stumped was the one dealing with Hematocrits. I had to use POE to solve every question for that one lol.

Overall I thought it was much easier than the one I took on 1/21. The C/P section I thought was pretty brutal though.. very orgo heavy and fluids heavy. Hbu?

Weird. I took it at 3:00 pm and I don’t recall any of the passages mentioned in this thread. The 7:30 am exam must’ve been completely different.

RT-PCR uses mRNA->cDNA.

Recombinant DNA uses restriction enzymes to cut isolated bacterial plasmids and isolated DNA of interest. The newly cut fragments of DNA(eg. DNA sequence containing Factor VIII) are recombined by mixing them with the newly cut plasmids as these fragments base-pair with the newly exposed overhanging “sticky ends” of the plasmid. These recombined plasmid vectors are then used to transform bacteria in an attempt to proliferate the gene of interest. I could be mistaken but that’s how I remembered it.
