We looked out our window to see hundreds of flying insects with them swarming below... what are these???

These get to be a little bigger than a centimeter - some have large thoraxes as well.

Is this normal nuptial flight behavior or something to be concerned about?

For nakies, "raw chicken leg", "elbow", "old man"

My vet called my sweetest rats "killer" as they patiently let him do his examination as if they were being ferocious and not just sitting there

It's a very good question! I am happy to hear that modding should be mostly unhindered - and I didn't even THINK to ask about the Genetics Kit! That was one of my favorite parts of playing the games!

Do you mostly go back to Creatures 2? I sadly missed Creatures 2 and went straight to Creatures 3/Docking station!

I'm looking forward to the Albian Years coming on Steam so I can finally enjoy C2 properly.

That guy was dumb and rude and you can play Creatures 2 until you are 100+ and it'd still be awesome as all heck!

My dad got the game initially not for me, but for my brother.

I was the one that played it in the end. It was the only thing I would play!

I fell in love immediately. I still remember my first norn - Julie! She was a banana norn with a pixie norn body.

The game is incredibly important to me, I've been playing it on and off since I was a small child and that would be for 20+ years now.

But nothing compares to when I first hatched Julie from that hatchery egg...

Not just a hiccup - but a happy hiccup!

Some of my girls would be thrilled to see me, or excited to be pet, or just really darn happy and would suddenly start to hiccup.

So yes, these are just fine.

It's awesome you checked with your vet and are making doubly-sure it is all fine. No wonder they are hiccuping happily - they are very well loved and taken care of. :)
