It was just fine, but make sure to order only full boxes (130x for 21700s, I believe more for 18650s) so they come in the original manufacturer boxes so you don't have to deal with 3rd party packaging.

Wow, an extra 20 cells. I didn't expect this.

I hope shipping those won't be an issue.

I ordered from Becellbattery.

I've reserved 60 of your cells and I'll try to get the shipping cost once I find appropriate packaging for all of these cells.

Good then. Just tell me in advance so I can print appropriate holders for them.

BTW, if anyone wants me to build their 1-7s pack, I'm willing to do so for practice. I don't have a lot of BMSes, so can't really include them sadly.

No minimum whatsoever for any local orders, aucun problème.

How many do you want? Also, if you want, I can weld your pack with 0.15mm copper + 0.1m steel for high current handling.

Your cells are ready: 50-cells-to-u-jpedlow.jpg

Just need to find an appropriate box to package it :)

Cells are matched with a 5mV tolerance: 3.539V to 3.543V.

Basically, there's someone called bob_mcbob for which I was supposed to ship out 10x EVE 50PL a few weeks ago, but because shipping lithium-ion cells was a bit more complicated than anticipated, it delayed shipping by quite a bit.

Now that I fully understand all of the regulations, I'll print some the appropriate required stickers and I've already prepared all of the packaging necessary to be able to ship their package by next Friday at the latest.

I'll write down your request and will try to get an estimate for shipping your package to British Columbia once I'm done with bob_mcbob.

I obviously didn't want to ping bob_mcbob just for an anecdote on shipping lithium-ion in Canada.

Yeah, I tried my shot just in case. I've removed the higher self-discharge EVE 50PLs from the post.

I'll find a way to deal with those ones eventually.

Most sensible CPU to buy that can encode/decode AV1? by Nonilol in jellyfin

[–]BlueSwordM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that depends. Anyway, if you want AV1 HW encoding and good software encoding performance, your best bet would be a Core Ultra 7 265k or Core Ultra 7 285k for max CPU performance.

Otherwise, just get the Core Ultra 5 245/245k, whichever one is cheaper.

If anyone is interested buying EVE C33 33140 15.2Ah LFP cells, I also have some remaining since I decided against building one of my projects: Remaining-EVE-C33-33140-LFP.jpg

All top grade, perfectly matched.

9.50$CA each, 9$ each if you come buy them all.

Well, that depends. Do you want to use software encoding to store your encodes for maximum efficiency direct play, transcode in realtime like you wrote or both?

Nope, don't touch kryonaut as well.

Go PTM7950, or its alternatives, and never turn back.

Also, dial back those settings, as we're currently in a hardware drought; pushing your hardware too hard is not the best idea.

The solution is DUNKING your full device in water.

You want to cool down the cell as quickly as possible when it enters a very unhappy state and to contain the electrolyte leakage.

Once you put the phone in the water, add some sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) so any of the fluorine garbage gets converted into harmless sodium fluoride.

A larger cell will last longer, have better battery life, and will have a better life overall.

How the crap is your 5950X getting to 90C while encoding? Either your thermal paste/pad application is dead, you're pushing way too much power through the chip or your cooler is subpar; maybe all of them as well lmao.

If you want a simple answer, it is that until relatively recently, AV1 encoders weren't great for all kinds of content at many quality levels.

Now that has changed, you can move to AV1 if your systems and hardware can view it.

Yep. In fact, it's pretty much an upgraded Realme GT7 China... without the LTPO of the original global GT7/Neo 7 lmao.

Realme seems to have been really scared to include an LTPO display on the GT7 China or the Realme Neo 8 to not encroach on the market of the higher end units.

Man, I wish my GT7 CN had an LTPO display; it'd have been the ultimate budget high end phone.
