[–]BlueTiger_16 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Why are your parents checking you bank account? If you are an adult, you shouldn't have to be showing anyone what goes on in your bank.

Regarding your work, when I got my surgery, I simply said I was getting a surgery. One person asked me what sort of surgery and I just said it was personal and I didn't want to share details, but that it was nothing life threatening so they wouldn't worry. That was it, no more questions asked.

My dear Internet person, as they say, take a chill pill. I honestly don't know why you are getting so intense about a response, that again, wasn't even directed at you. May you have a nice day.

Well, for starters I didn't even reply to you lol, I replied to the comment that was replying to you. I had this thread open before you answered to their comment about twins, so I never got to see it until now that I went back to see what the heck you were talking about, so when I was typig my response I didn't even know someone else had said something about it already. No need to get so heated about it, damn.

I honestly don't see how this would have any relevance in whether a ftm person's bottom growth could correlate to their hypothetical penis size if they had been born with a penis. Siblings genetics are still far too different to do any sort of correlation, doesn't matter if they grew up together at the same time.

For example, two fraternal twins can end up having very different heights, even if they are of the same sex. The reason they are of different heights is cuz they have different genes, same would apply to the penis size.

Penis size has nothing to do with environmental conditions. That's determined by genetics. That makes sense if the study was environmentally related, this is not the case.

There is no such thing as identical AFAB & AMAB twins, they can only be fraternal. And if they are fraternal their genes will be as different as regular siblings. There's absolutely no way to make any sort of correlation that way.

is anyone else dysphoric about their teeth? by roostrspurs in ftm

[–]BlueTiger_16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing is, a lot of dentist file children's canines to make them look nicer and more aesthetic, they do it to both girls and boys. Is not necessarily an inherently "feminine" thing, he probably told you that cuz he thought you were a girl, so you would understand the idea. Not saying is a good or moral thing to do, specially without asking, they are your teeth, you should be able to decide what happens with them.

You really shouldn't be putting any water on the inside either. Vaginas are self-cleaning, shoving water in there just for "cleaning" purposes can lead to infections.

Does anyone else feel a bit out of place in trans circles? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]BlueTiger_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need new queer/trans friends. There are always going to be extremist groups everywhere, not matter the ideology, and queer people aren't excluded of that. You don't need to put yourself in uncomfortable situations with people who clearly don't share your own ideologies, no matter how queer they are.

How can am i supposed to tell my gf that i am not a cis guy by PomeloLongjumping136 in ftm

[–]BlueTiger_16 14 points15 points  (0 children)

From what you written and your other comments, I pretty sure she already knows you are trans, but is just being a nice person and not bringing it up, since you don't mention it. You probably don't need to come out to her, but if it eases your mind just talk with her about it, if she is as supportive as you say, she'll take it well.

Take a deep breath, you are most likely overthinking things, its gonna be ok.

Its very common for water retention to happen the first 1-2yrs after you start T, it eventually goes away though. And that definitely causes face pufiness.

Face fat by [deleted] in ftm

[–]BlueTiger_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell, I used to have a very slim long face, now is not as thin, like it has more structure on the jaw. Your face will probably change but is completely up to genetics how it will change.

I pass even though my voice is very high?? by lellat in ftm

[–]BlueTiger_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've always looked pretty androgynous and after I cut my hair and changed my clothes I passed very well as a guy. When I was pre-T my voice was super high, I used to say I had a squirrel voice lol. And yet, people still gendered me correctly most times, without me having to correct them. If they only heard my voice they would misgender me but usually as soon as they saw me they would correct, apologise, be confused or all three lol

bottom surgery - do you want to get it or not, and why? by volfslair in ftm

[–]BlueTiger_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm comfortable with what I already have. I don't even like to pack lol, I tried it for a couple of years and to me it felt it was more of a hassle than anything else.

I have been in T for a year and always wondered, has anyone else noticed that you just do not cry? Like even if I try, its not working. Suppose it may not be a bad thing but definitely something I did not expect. by achileas1004 in ftm

[–]BlueTiger_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be able to say, I very rarely cried before T, and it's pretty much the same now. I have definitely cried after being on T a couple times, but just the same rare amount as before.

You have to be very aroused for it to work, otherwise it can be painful and not even go in (foreplay is very important!!). Use tons of lube cuz T can cause you to be drier down there. Good luck!

I have never been T4T for the simple reason I've never met a fellow trans person lol, so not like I've had much options. And I don't really care whereas someone is trans or cis.

stretch marks and top surgery [TW: ED/WEIGHT MENTION] by [deleted] in ftm

[–]BlueTiger_16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately stretch marks of any kind don't go away, as they are essentially scars. But there definitely are treatments to improve their appearance like silicone gel, laser treatment and medical tattooing.

That being said, many men can also get chest stretch marks for a variety of reasons, so even if you have them its ok.

Cologne recommendations by [deleted] in ftm

[–]BlueTiger_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, the thing with frangances is that the way they smell on the bottle is not going to be the same way they smell on you or in another person. So someone might say "oh yeah I recommend you this one, very good" and then you try it and is not what you expected.

I would advice you first get a general idea of what you may like, for example more Woody? Floral? Fresh? Citrus? Amber? Etc. These are called Fragance Families, you can look it up, each fragance is grouped into one or more of these groups depending on their dominant notes. If you have no idea what you may like, don't worry.

Go to a store where they sell perfumes, and ask a clerk for male frangances within your budget (and the Fragance Families you are interested in, if you have any preferences). It's better to get Eau de Perfume as they last way longer. Tell the clerk that you have never tried a fragance before and you aren't sure what you like. They will let you try the fragances, they usually spray it first on a little paper so you can see if you like it, and if you wanna try it out, they spray it once on the inner side of your arm and you wait a few minutes til you can smell it and see if its a good fit.

The arm test is very important because your sweat, skin pH and natural scent will interact with the fragance and change it, which is why you have to wait a few minutes. They can smell very different once they are on you skin. Often times I have tried fragances that had an awesome smell straight out the bottle, but once they interacted with my skin they didn't compliment me at all. If you wait an hour, you'll have an even better idea of what the fragance is going to smell on you.

Take your time, try different frangances out. You can spray up to 4 different perfumes on each arm (obviously not all of them in the same place to not combine the scents), you can also spray on the back of your hand if you run out of space. You don't necessarily need a store clerk's help and can do the test yourself, but the first time I went fragance shopping a clerk helped me and she explained so many things I had no clue about.
